    Provost Karim Ismaili sits down with two campus leaders at BSU to talk about BSU’s role as an institute partner in the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Over the past four summers, Dr. Michael Kryzanek and Dr. Uma Shama have been part of the team who has offered the six-week leadership in public management institute for the Mandela Washington Fellows program at BSU. These two academic leaders talk with Provost Ismaili about the impact this program has had on the university and the exciting ways these rising leaders from sub-Saharan African countries have been welcomed into our New England community.

Excellent job! I especially enjoy hearing the students talk about their personal reactions and experiences so spontaneously and honestly, each from a unique perspective. Different things are important to every individual, and you get a sense of the richness of all that BSU has to offer.
