He's a US Army Infantryman veteran who faced Substance Misuse and Co-Occurring Disorders due to his service in the Global War on Terrorism campaigns. He's also a survivor of street-level homelessness and suicide attempt (2015). Brian now serves his community as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Veterans and a Certified Event Interventionist.
With Director roles and Board Seats in Veteran non-profits, he's trained over 30,000 volunteers and aided in disaster response as a FEMA-certified Professional.
