E106: TEAM SAVAGE WITH GEOFF SPEYRER, KAT CARRIER, NOEL AND JOSH VOIGT (P.1)

E106: TEAM SAVAGE WITH GEOFF SPEYRER, KAT CARRIER, NOEL AND JOSH VOIGT (P.1)

Today I set down with team Savage. Geoff Speyrer, Kat Carrier, Noel and Josh Voigt.
Geoff served 12 years in the Army as a combat engineer and Infantryman. Upon returning home he had a tough time adapting to civilian life and he turned to addiction. Geoff was also given medication from the Army that adversely affected his health. He developed compartment syndrome and had to have a muscle amputated out of his leg leaving him with paralysis in his left foot.
Geoff didn’t realize or understand what PTSD and TBI was until he was so deep into addiction and selling drugs that he didn’t even know how to ask for help nor did he really want it. For the next 13 years Geoff would suffer with addiction, battling suicide and being a fugitive for five and a half years. Then one day he decided to quit playing the blame game and take back his life.  He started investing hard into his body and fitness and started to share his story that impacted many lives.  Through his new found purpose he educates, inspires, entertains and builds communities that show up in realist and rawest ways.

Kat Carrier - Mechanical engineer by day, Nutrition Coach by passion lives in Houston, TX with her Husband, Grant, & pup, Flapjack. She found her passion for both nutrition education & endurance sports after finding an outlet for her mental health & losing 60 pounds herself. Kat has completed several half & full marathons, 12 triathlons, including 3x 70.3s and 1 full Ironman.

Noël is an ultra-marathon runner who has completed 14 official marathons, and ultra races ranging from 50km to 100 miles. She currently works as a Clinical Health Coach working primarily with the diabetic population. She also has a Kinesiology Degree with an Exercise Science Emphasis, and holds a Health Coach Certification from ACE. Noel has four beautiful dogs that she runs with daily.

Josh is currently the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at Emory and Henry College in Virginia. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA with a Kinesiology Degree with a Strength and Conditioning Emphasis. Josh and Noel have four beautiful dogs that she runs with daily.  Buckle up!

E105: MIAMI MUSIC WEEK WITH UBI HERNANDEZ

In this educational episode I set down with Ubi Hernandez. As a music lover and creator, he’s really grown into his role as talent buyer / co-producer of the National Hotel Pool Parties during Miami Music Week. Going on the 6th year on property, Ubi had the pleasure of putting together some of the best events Miami Beach has ever hosted featuring the likes of MK, Green Velvet, Camelphat, Armin Van Buuren and more!  This year proves no different as they are back in full effect March 22-26th featuring all that amazing talent you’ve come to love whether you’re a local or music - loving jet setter.
Ubis journey here wasn’t easy, but he made the best of it and with honor.  Prior to his current role, he served as director of talent / A&R at Revolution Radio 93.5 FM in Miami where he was part of the initial team setting up station.  He was there for 5 years before making the move over to full time talent buyer / event producer.  As Ubi exited high school he was part of the US Coast Guard where he served proudly for 9 years. Buckle up!

Mrs. Darling C. ,

Hooked

I was captivated by the the interview with the Donut King and now I’m hooked to BuckleUp podcast. I think Natalia asked all these wonderful questions to truly understand (entrepreneur) Max Santiago, where he came from and where he’s going. I felt moved and motivated listening to his story and how I can apply some of his learnings in my own life. Phenomenal!
