Asking for help: Strength or Weakness with Andrea Hancock

Help is one of the greatest gifts we can give or receive. It allows us to offer assistance to others in need and also provides us with an opportunity to receive help when we are in need. However, despite the importance of help, many people are reluctant to ask for help when they need it. This is often because of the stigma that is attached to asking for help. People may feel like they are admitting defeat or admitting that they cannot cope on their own. As a result, they may suffer in silence rather than reach out for help. It is important to remember that everyone needs help at some point in their lives, and there is no shame in asking for help when you need it. In fact, asking for help can be a strength, not a weakness. By reaching out for help, you are taking responsibility for your own well-being and demonstrating your commitment to improving your situation. terminologies associated with the whole concept of asking for help can vary depending on culture, context, and individual preferences. Some common terms include: requesting help, seeking help, needing assistance, wanting help, or requiring help. No matter what terminology you use, the most important thing is to reach out for help when you need it. Help is one of the greatest gifts we can give or receive, so don't be afraid to ask for it when you need it. This episode features Andrea Hancock, Founder & Director of Business Development at Dexterous Organizing: We help busy people get organized (especially during a major life transition) in a world that is chaotic and hectic. We not only help them create a space that brings peace, control, and calm; we also teach them mindset principles, skills, and habits that help them to internalize strategies that work for them over and over and overcome unhelpful perspectives that prevent growth toward a functional space and productive life. "I help to teach my clients to overcome shame and guilt related to hiring us to help them" Reach Andrea at www.dexterousorganizing.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/anika-wilson/message
