Cancel Me, Daddy

The pearl clutching about “cancel culture” and “censorship” has become louder and more absurd while also getting more and more play in the media. Journalists Katelyn Burns and Christine Grimaldi see this panic for what it is though: a grift. They take a closer look at these temper tantrums, dispelling myths, laughing at the most outrageous takes, and shedding light on which perspectives are actually being suppressed and left out of the conversation. I feel like I am living in podcast land, and my podcasts are divided into two things:TTRPG podcasts and insightful commentary on the world. Given that I am a huge advocate for trans people I thought I would check out this podcast with an awesome trans l journalist as a host, and I am very glad I did. I am really enjoying the show's way of taking on the issues. It took me a while to check it out because cancel culture language makes me roll my eyes... but it makes the hosts do that too, so I'm good

“Cancel Me, Daddy” is a must-listen for anyone tired of the surface-level debates around cancel culture and censorship. Katelyn Burns and Christine Grimaldi bring sharp, thoughtful analysis to every episode, pairing humor with constructive context that reframes these often-misunderstood topics. The guests are consistently top-tier, adding fresh perspectives and depth to the conversation. It’s insightful, well-researched, and often laugh-out-loud funny—a perfect balance of wit and wisdom. This is exactly the kind of podcast we need right now. Highly recommend!

I came to this show because of other podcasts I love, and I held out for awhile, but lately it feels like Katelyn Burns is phoning it in. Christine tries really hard to get Katelyn to bring something to the table in terms of researched analysis, but nothing comes, and it wasn’t until the Blake Lively episode where Katelyn had a lot of experience and knowledge that I had to quit the podcast, because it was was 30 minutes of nothing.
Glad to find you!

This podcast has been so fun and informative, so I was glad to see a bunch of new recent episodes I had missed. The hosts (old and new) are fantastic and the guests are always very on point. I needed this window to understand better, and I definitely feel like I’m having better conversations in my life because this podcast helped me know more about topics and people who are not heard as much. Thank you for providing so much joy and knowledge!
