Coming Soon: Season Two
Before COVID-19, we prepared for an amazing second podcast season of education professionals talking about mental health in schools. In this original trailer for season two, we talk about the importance of providing support at all levels of the educational system. Now that many states have extended remote learning through the end of the year, mental health is as important as ever. As a response to this, we have mixed up our planned season a little: we’ll still be talking about mental health, and we’ll be giving you the amazing interviews we had already done, but our host, Principal Jim O’Rourke, will also be doing more frequent short episodes with thoughts and ideas on remote learning in this time of crisis. We hope you’ll join us as you try to work through this period yourselves. Keep being amazing, and stay healthy!

What’s Next?
Host Jim O’Rourke ties everything together in this season wrap-up. Discussing what we’ve learned as a faculty in the years since our transformation, Jim outlines the plans to revisit and adapt those processes to work with our current faculty, students, and situations.
We are looking for stories for our next season, starting in 2020. The CelebratED team would like to invite you, our listeners, to tell us about what’s worth celebrating where you are! A Conversation with Baruti Kafele
The team was thrilled and honored to host a visit with internationally renowned speaker, Principal Baruti Kafele. Jim speaks with him about building relationships, how to develop meaningful parent involvement, and what advice he can offer new administrators. Principal Kafele’s words and expertise inspire teachers everywhere; we were excited to be able to bring them to our audience here on CelebratED.

Inspiring
I found hearing about the successful transformation of a “failing” high school through the enthusiastic voices of its administrators, educators, and students both fascinating and inspirational. Looking forward to more episodes!
Well done!
These first three episodes are very well done. Loving the concept of celebrating education and I’m already walking away with strategies to try in my own classroom. Subscribed!
