The Danger of looking behind or looking back: In our chat today Lot's wife looked back, I can only come to one conclusion of why she turn to a pilar of salt when she looked behind, but when Lot (her husband) looked back, he didn't. I can only come to one conclusion, after the danger was pass she still had the desire to go back. Many of us today look back, after the change, and have that desire to go backwards. The practical side, when we linger in a negative situation, we will suffer, by not allowing the Lord to lead us in a positive situation. Lot was probable thinking his other daughters and theis husbands, or his close friends, or his lifestyle. Why did Lot lingered? Did he lingered thinking about what he would leave behind, Job, Home, Family, and Friends. Lot lingered so long that the angels had to pull him, his wife, and his remaining twoo daughters by the hand and tug them out.     How to study the Bible: . The Destruction of Sodom and Gomoreah: A) Going back a little, the angels Blind the men of Sodom so that they had a hard time finding the door (Genesis 19:11). The angels told Lot to get out of this place. Many are blind today (using being blind as a metaphor) and can't find the door today, which is Christ. Lot went to his sons in law, to warn them that the city was getting ready to be destroyed, but they mocked him (Genesis 19:12-14). Many are the same today, they are not listening to the message of the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:6-8).
