The Birth of Isaac and the casting out of Hagar and Ishmael: The Lord will provide: After Abraham cast out Hagar and Ishmael, he gave them provision of water and bread, after all the water was gone they were in need. She put her child under a shrubs, and sat next to him, beginning to cry calling on the Lord, and he heard the voice of the lad. The Lord provide them with a well of water (Genesis 21:14-29). We too, finds it hard to let go of things that may cause us problems down the line and we can only see so far, but God can. Abraham found it difficult to do what Sara his wife, had requested, and he grieved over it until the Lord step in and told him to listen to her (Genesis 21:12-13). Today we also finds it hard to cut off or to cast away things in our lives, until the Lord step in (Romans 11:15-19).     How to study the BIBLE: I. The Birth of Isaac, and the casting away of Hagar and her son Ishmael. The reason: Ishmael began to tease Isaac, and saw the trouble that it could bring, so to prevent it Sara asked Abraham to cast them away or to cut them out. Although it troubled Abraham to do it, and he grieved over to do so, but God told him to listen to his wife, and he did so (Genesis 21:10-14). Today God may cast, cut or pruning things or people out of our lives, because he see the trouble or the blessing (Romans 11ch.).
