We are delighted to introduce Evan, our Year 8 pupil, who travelled solo to Nepal in April 2023, joining his grandparents to support their longstanding charitable endeavours. Mr Matthew Bennett, our Head of School, chats with Evan to hear his inspiring story of venturing into Nepal, a country that has such meaning to his family and we are introduced to the worth of their fundraising initiatives to supply local women and communities with sanitary supplies through the Freedom Kit Bag scheme  

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Year 1 certainly knows it! Mrs Barker and four of our Year 1s host this month’s podcast. They discuss seasonal celebrations around the world and being kind at Christmas, plus they sing us two songs shared with parents at the Nativity Service. Handy tip: turn your volume down a couple of notches when the music starts – they are excellent enthusiastic singers!

One of the most memorable topics our Year 5s learn is World War 1. So much so that in this episode, two Year 6 pupils are reflecting back on what they learnt this time last year, along with two current Year 5 pupils and their Class Teacher, Mr Baxter.

Mr Pullen, Head of Drama, sits down with three leads from the newly minted cast of this year's show, The Pirates of Penzance, to reveal what the audition process is like, the best bits about being a cast member, and how awkward it is learning those dance routines....
