Gauer Hour - SEC/ACC Challenge recap & more top-10 games

Felder Friday - Championship Week

That's right kids, regular season is over and that means there's only 9 FBS games on deck this weekend. Who better to break them down than Felder, who comes correct with his weekly dose of Felder Five and some National Signing Day sprinkled in as well. Shehan Jeyarajah from CBS Sports enters the chat to talk Big 12 Championship and CFP at large with the fellas. Shehan thinks SMU is in even with a loss against Clemson, which sounds risky, but who knows that this Committee is going to do come Sunday at high noon when the bracket gets filled out. It's hard enough doing a show with Wayne Cook and keeping our boy focused. It's even harder when you're taping as the CFP rankings are literally coming down the line, but nonetheless, we press on. Immediate reaction to the rankings and who stands to benefit the most from the upcoming Championship Weekend slate of games Friday and Saturday. Lots of Hartzell and Wayno disagreements in the first half hour of the show before Phil Steele joins the party to run through his picks for all 9 FBS games this weekend. Then Phil signs off and the fellas get back to arguing. The last 10 minutes of the show Wayne schools Hartzell on the art of sideline reporting, since he'll be at the SEC Championship while Wayne watches on TV and tries to figure out what pants Hartzell's wearing. Coming off a monster rivalry weekend full of games, we get the gang together to unpack it all. Roddy Jones joins Hartzell and the Doc to talk about the GT/Georgia 8OT game, and the combined ripple effects that game had - along with Miami and Clemson losing - on the ACC's dream of a being a multi-bid league. Nicole Auerbach from NBC Sports joins the show to discuss Michigan/Ohio State and the Big Ten at large. Nicole has questions for the Playoff Committee that need answers but we'll probably not get them (because transparency isn't something that they do well). The Doc is still butthurt about FSU, he unsuccessfully tries to hijack the show multiple times, and of course we get some picks from Rodstra on our way out the door. It's the day after Thanksgiving so you think your body is full, but we're about to go back for some fresh hot takes from the boys. Michael Felder, The Doc, and Hartzell run through the week 14 slate with a special guest appearance from Phil Steele to get his perspective on every game in the top 25. Felder brings up how nobody is talking about Michigan/Ohio State or Notre Dame/USC, and he's got a point. Plus the normal shenanigans that ensue from the weekly dose of the Felder Five (TM). Tripp is unprepared to pick any games, and he incorrectly guesses how long Hartzell ran yesterday's Turkey Trot (Hartzell's not that slow, big dog).
