Erica Sullivan: Sun Protective Clothing, Social Entrepreneurship and Advocacy Through Education
Erica Sullivan discusses her path to entrepreneurship and how she knew she wanted to create social impact and community before she even knew she wanted to build a brand and business. Erica was first touched by cancer when her mom was diagnosed with melanoma but it was her own scare that led to her creating lasting change. With an entrepreneur's mind, a heart for others and some tough love from her now husband, Erica pitched her business idea to the APEX Center for Entrepreneurs and WON, launching her dream of a sun protective clothing line that educates, advocates and prevents skin cancer.

Ashley Williams: Desmoid Tumors, The Cancer Community and Celebrating the Small Stuff
It was an emotional episode as Ashley and I discussed trauma triggers and feeling like we have to justify our place (to ourselves!) in the cancer community. Ashley was diagnosed with a desmoid tumor, a type of sarcoma, shortly after a serious car accident in 2015. Since then, she's become a powerful advocate for mental health awareness in the cancer journey and has been a speaker at Stupid Cancer and other spaces dedicated to providing community and resources to the cancer community.

10 Humble Beast Lifestyle: Having Humility, Overcoming Adversity and Building a Brand
We can all relate to a time in our lives when we were not where we wanted to be and were feeling like we didn't recognize who we had become. Lonnie Scott of Humble Beast Lifestyle knew he couldn't stay stuck and created a tee shirt to remind him of the beast living inside and the humility to grow from his setbacks. Little did he know, this shirt would lead to a business and a brand based on overcoming the challenges he was currently facing.
His best friend Devante Jones was wearing the tee shirt in the gym when they began to realize they had something special with Humble Beast and what it stood for. Much like the brand started with a single tee shirt, their friendship was formed over a jar of peanut butter. From humble beginnings, a movement was born.
I am so excited to introduce you to the two men behind the movement.
