“To be honest, at the age of 10, I felt I didn't feel anything. I was just like, Oh, cool. You know, I guess when I went to my so my orphanage actually moved into like, a different location. So what happened was the our tour guide, accidentally got the old location place. So we went to go to see my old orphanage. And when I went up there, you know, it was all rundown, because no one's taking care of it. It was abandoned. I guess. I started crying, but I didn't know exactly why.”

    Keynotes:
Learning a language is like a ticket to a lifetime full of opportunities. It takes time to learn a language. Celebrate the small wins too. Going on a trip can help you embrace the culture. Language barrier is real but can solve.

09: Reading my Natal Chart Reading with Sarah Park Heffner

09: Reading my Natal Chart Reading with Sarah Park Heffner

This is the second part of my interview with Sarah Park Heffner. She is a Poet Witch who scans my natal chart and relates her experience of being adopted. As soon as she was reunited with her birth mother, she began studying astrology. She gains a deeper knowledge of who I am and what my life's mission is by studying my birth chart.

“It's emotional, really like you learning how to mitigate you learning how to create the container for your emotions, is the education lesson, that once you become an expert of that, that's what you give to others. So the more that you become new, like fluent in self care, then you can start to teach that language of self care to others.”

    Keynotes:
Identifying emotion Container for the emotion holding is the empathy of the emotion If there’s no solution then we lose the connection between us and the person Find your mindheaven purpose As you mature, you will recognize your individuality

08: Astrology as a Source of Healing as an Adoptee with Sarah Park Heffner

08: Astrology as a Source of Healing as an Adoptee with Sarah Park Heffner

In this episode, I interview Sarah Park Heffner, the Poet Witch where she shares her adoptee story and reads my natal chart. She started studying astrology after reuniting with her biological mother. She shares how her journey of self-healing through Reiki and astrology to deepen her spiritual practice has been holistic. Through reading my natal chart, she shares a deeper understanding of who I am and my life’s purpose. There is no episode recommendation since this is a two-part episode. So tune in to part 2 for the rest of the interview and Sarah’s episode recommendation! You can connect with The Poet Witch on Instagram, her website, and join her email newsletter!

“Astrology for me, and a natal chart, is basically your soul's blueprint; it's the map of the sky the moment you took your first breath. So this is us. Determining that and transcribing that can give us so much origin story and archetype. And I just find it so useful in self-healing, self-knowing, and self-actualization. Just giving me that source that I feel that so many adoptees are missing.” - Sarah Park Heffner, the Poet Witch

    Keynotes:
Climbing the ladder one step at a time. It’s difficult trying to find a balance between how you were raised by a white family and your birth culture. Taking baths would be very nourishing. Your ability to find nourishment in a spiritual practice will be immense. Your color needs lines in order to be defined. Having a spiritual entourage. Taking the time to explore home and sharing that experience with others.

Fascinated and Inspiring

Excited for this podcast! So far it’s a beautiful dive into the world of an adoptee, but more so into the world of a beautiful soul with more than just a story to tell. Seems to me, this will create a container of sorts, a space for nourishing conversation on self discovery, identity, and so much more. We’ll done!

Grateful to Connect

I had the chance to listen to the first episode of this podcast and I really enjoyed it! Hearing about Kristen’s story and seeing how similar it was to many experiences I have had felt validating and comforting. I’m thankful to find a community like this and I’m excited to join the community membership when it opens up again. I definitely have taken a lot of time to get where I am today with accepting and wanting to understand my unique identity and I’m happy to have community support to continue to do so. Thank you Kristen for creating this space❤️
