Despite four decades of illness and disability, he ultimately achieved spiritual realization and restored own health. Meditation provided a pivotal and profound self-discovery when he realized he was not his thoughts or identity. He then inquired, "Who am I?" and heard a voice reminding him of his divine essence that he is Perfect Spirit.
