#26: Minimalism, Growth, and Life Lessons

#26: Minimalism, Growth, and Life Lessons

    Hello ladies and gents,

Today we have an inbetween-a-sode narrated by yours truly @IamDrCole . I got a lot of good feedback from my last inbetween-a-sode on minimalism that I decided to do another one from the same book, Minimalism Essential Essays, by Joshua Fields Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus. I read through a couple more chapters and thought it would be a cool idea to read a couple of them to you all and share my thoughts on them!

Today I picked 2 chapters/essays and dive a little deeper into them. Here are the essays you will hear!
Growth through minimalism 30 life lessons from 30 years Letting go of sentimental items

    Enjoy!

    “Without Integrity Nothing Works”
    -Roy Redd
Roy Redd is an author whose writings include Finish, and The Success Magnet: Cultivate The 5 Values That Attract Success. Roy helps people get out of their own way so they can be who they already are and achieve the results and outcomes they desire. Roy was blessed with certain struggles that made him realize he needed to take responsibility for his own life. Broke, depressed, and on his own, Roy ended up pushing his broken down car two miles on the freeway by himself. That is when he realized nobody was to blame for his problems but himself. After that experience and the gift of self-efficacy, Roy was able to turn his life around.
Today he is dedicated to motivating, and teaching others on how to turn their life around. He is dedicated to sharing his story, successes, and how to’s so that others can achieve their most desired goals. At 26 years of age, Roy went from broke to 6 figures in just a few short years. He was able to rub elbows with great people like Arnold Schwarzenegger, JT Foxx, Wayne Allyn Root, Joseph Michelli, and Donna Karan.
From coaching to teaching people how to get the best out of themselves, Roy also coaches paying clients on how to get out of their own way so they can achieve their desired outcomes, successes, and dreams. Today Roy coaches pro, collegiate, and high school athletes on what he calls UnBounded Performance, dramatically improving athletes performance by making mental distinctions. Also, now as of recently he is a TedX speaker!
Roy’s story of how he had to push his car 2+ miles The experience of doing a Ted Talk How to persuade people to do what you want “The instant purpose finder”

#24: Minimalism & Enjoying The Moment

Today we have an inbetween-a-sode narrated by yours truly @IamDrCole . I was surfing through the internet the other day when I came upon this book, Minimalism Essential Essays, by Joshua Fields Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus. I read through a couple of chapters and thought it would be a cool idea to read a couple of them to you all and hear you guy’s feedback/opinion.
I don’t consider myself a minimalist but I agree with many of the philosophies and mindsets that are stated in this book. So today I picked 3 chapters/essays and dive a little deeper into them. Here are the essays you will hear!
Being in the moment Clear your damn plate Letting go of sentimental items Enjoy!

Wendell is a great host. Definitely, not one dimensional. And this isn't a one dimensional podcast! A gracious, "real" guy. And a useful, actionable podcast!
