Gregg, a recruiter himself, authored a fantastic new book in, The Recruiter. It's funny, thrilling, full of twists, and a blockbuster in the making (Call us, Ryan Reynolds...). Gregg lives in New Jersey and has always called teh Garden State home. Now, he's a debut author and has a CD collection problem (he has over 1,000).
In this episode, Jeff and Gregg talk about Ryan Reynolds buying the movie rights to play his protagonist Rick Carter, Gregg's days of improv comedy, adding fun and jokes to a serious thriller book, and how Gregg feels about coffee nerds.

Unleashing the Thrills of Action-Packed Novels
Welcome to episode 103 of the Course of Action Podcast. Today we welcome #1 NY Times Bestselling author Mark Greaney, back to the show. That's right, we got him on a second time in six months!
Mark is the author of several Tom Clancy novels, 13 Gray Man novels, and is now releasing Sentinel, the second book in the Armored Series featuring protagonist Josh Duffy. In this book, Duffy is in Africa providing personal security when a coup occurs and he must not only protect the people he's assigned to protect, but also his wife and kids that came along for the mission.
As a follower of political science and geopolitical affairs, Mark researches his book subjects heavily, even traveling to places like Ghana and 35 other countries in order to get that real-world experience that lends the highest levels of authenticity to every book that he writes. In this episode, we also talk about his travels including to the Akosombo Dam, a location that is centered in Sentinel.

Act of Defiance with Andrews and Wilson
Welcome to episode 100 of Course of Action. This episode is incredibly special, not just because of the Memorial Day release, but because it's also the 40th Anniversary of the legendary book by Tom Clancy, "The Hunt For Red October", a book that started the techno-thriller craze.
Brian Andrews and Jeff Wilson, already legendary authors in their own right, were tapped to write the next several Jack Ryan books and their first offering is a huge swing for the fences in "Act of Defiance", a sequel to "Red October".
Brian and Jeff are both Navy veterans, so this book is more than just a sequel. It's a massive tip of the hat to America's armed forces, specifically the Naval servicemen they call brothers and sisters. Listen in as Jeff and Brian discuss their research, getting the phone call to write for Clancy, and how they put together a sequel unlike any other sequel I've ever read.
