North South Trail FKT: 78 Miles in the Snow

North South Trail FKT: 78 Miles in the Snow

How does it feel to be outside in the middle of winter in New England for over 40 hours unsupported? Jimmy Mac and LSE could have had someone wiping their arses every few keelo-meeters but they chose not to. But you always gotta consider the "Why".  There will definitely be faster FKT's set on this route, but one would have to try really hard to match the experience of doing it under these conditions.  It is a tale of hard fought Finishing Lines, not Finishing Times.

Epic Stout Podcast

The Cultra Crew has great discussions about running in the Beast Coast. If you want to be inspired to get out and run something crazy, this is the podcast you have been waiting for. They have a cultra karaoke line that you can use to get a song unstuck from your head.

With all the mentions of the FKTs and Patreon supporters and recaps of races, they are instrumental in bringing together the ultra running community in the Northeast US.

If you like to laugh, and want to not taken yourself seriously, give it a listen. You won’t regret it.

Draw strange looks in public

I started listening around episode 60. I laugh out loud at least once per episode and that tends to draw strange looks when road running. I’m simultaneously listening going forward while working my way through all the back episodes. Listening in reverse chronological order is very much like Marvel super hero origin stories; dismembered monkey hands, douche canoes, Gelato all is revealed in time. When Jimmy Mack said a squirrel yelled at him something shot out of my nose while I was running. So if don’t mind strange looks and losing control of your bodily functions this may be the podcast for you.
