Rainn Wilson stars in this fictional darkly comedic podcast that explores the on and off-air life of Terry Carnation – a late-night talk-radio show host who deals with bizarre topics, outrageous callers... and gets caught up in a mystery of his own.
Bonus - OMG, Seriously, Is Terry Ever Coming Back?!
After getting death threats, Jeet admits the sordid truth about his cover-up at KSB, but just when all seems lost, Jeet gets a call… from Terry?
Bonus - Terry’s Still Missing
It’s another night of calls with Terry back at the mic. Or IS he? Jeet gets a call from Terry’s old intern / frenemy (minus the “fr”) Wes Poppovitz threatening to expose him. Complicating matters, Future Terry calls in and messes up the time-space continuum.
Bonus - Terry’s Missing
While Terry is “in the hospital”, Jeet plays previously unheard calls from the Dark Air vault (which isn’t in a vault, more like a box of tapes on the top shelf in the supply closet) featuring Terry’s old audio engineer, Reginald.
Finale Part 2
After being fired by Al, Terry uncovers the person behind his dead wife’s disappearance. But his ravings land him in a mental institution. Terry is offered a surprising alliance. But is the enemy of his enemy his friend? And can he convince the cafeteria to give him seconds of pudding?
Having just been kidnapped, Terry is suspicious of everyone’s motives. Do they know what happened to his wife? Will Terry finally get to the truth? Will his boss Al ever forgive Terry for sending Al’s elderly mother to jail?
Terry’s on-air meltdown goes viral and his show is picked up coast to coast. He enlists the Carnation Nation to help him track down the source of the mysterious audio of his dead wife, which points to a location south of the border.
This is the best fictional podcast ever. I feel like I should specify fiction for all the weirdos out there. You know who you are 😉. Terry Carnation. His voice is a steal drum of knowledge, his mind is a small fishing village in the doldrums, his heart is the Whomping Willow, and his voice is stardust. Honestly not sure if this takes place in our universe or not, but it doesn’t matter. Best fictional podcast ever. Also if you need more Rainn Wilson voice, listen to Bassoon King. I got it on Audible and the first chapter had me laugh crying immediately.
Best podcast ever
Absolutely entertaining. I pee myself regularly from laughing when listening. Can’t wait till Terry Carnation is saved and back on the air!
Rainn… don’t ever stop. I so appreciate that you aren’t mocking we Bell and Noory fans. Heck, even Moth Man made an appearance in #18, albeit veiled and implied. Perhaps you’re one of us? Great writing, great casting, great acting. And I don’t mind the commercials. I want you to make enough money to keep these episodes coming.
