I Saw It On Linden Street

Fun to listen to for genre fans overall, and really shines in the background and history elements.

And some just plain classics. I discovered this show recently, while I am doing my own private Shocktober Film Fest, and got back to one of my favorites, the 1988 THE BLOB. I did a search for podcasts which had covered it, and stumbled onto this one. Chris Roberts goes deep into the backgrounds, details, story summaries and much more into this podcast. It’s very slickly done, with lots of great sound bites, editing, and fascinating throughout. And with a nice sense of humor that enhances, but does not get in the way of the subject manner. I have already listened to a few episodes and I can see this as becoming a favorite. I hope it hasn’t pod-faded. But in any case, I have a lot of archived episodes to catch up on. Highly recommended

A meticulously researched and always fascinating look at movies that don’t get a ton of attention. Chris finds some very weird and interesting movies, and he does a great job of bringing them to life for his audience and encouraging one of my priorities, physical media. Always worth a listen!

This show is so entertaining because of how well presented and researched the episodes are. Even if I have not seen the film subjects of these episodes, Chris produces the show in such a thoughtful way that it makes these episodes accessible.
