Have you ever sketched a plan for your dream home? Do you give home styling advice to your friends? Perhaps you simply enjoy designing beautiful spaces. Whatever your creative passion is, you can turn it into a sustainable career and business in interior design.

The journey of our special guest, Tracy Dyck of S3 Interior Design, proves this. Her first kick at interior design started at about seven years old - from designing her first bedroom to creating spaces for her Barbies. It shows how it is possible to start thinking and going in one direction, but as you grow and learn, you can pivot and go in another that is still authentic.

The real talk antidote to all that HGTV hype!

Wow! I’m blown away with all the amazing insights interior designer, mentor and host, Rebecca, brings with each episode of Design Curious.  As an interior designer myself, I wish I had had a show (and a mentor!) like this when I was in design school! Rebecca gives listeners the inside scoop on what the industry is reaIly like, and what it takes to thrive as a designer (hint: it's about waaaay more than picking paint colors, throw pillows, and anything else HGTV would have you believe!).

I love the range of guests Rebecca has on as well – she chats with not only classically trained interior designers, but also those who have forged their own unique and unconventional path into the industry (and, in some instances, away from it). Such great perspectives, and a wonderful reminder that there's no one way to go about becoming a designer.

So, if you’re a design student; an aspiring designer; thinking about switching careers; or even simply (as she calls it!) ‘design curious’ this pod is a must listen. Go subscribe now!
