Do your conversations kill the party? Do you find yourself getting "that look" due to your extensive knowledge about turn of the century asylums? Have you ever wondered if there is a market for human skin books? If so then we are the podcast for you! We are pulling the dark things out from the shadows and throwing them into the spot light, to be talked about while we sprinkle in some comedy and cursing. We are not making fun of these topics, rather, we are laughing in the face of the dark out of sheer bullheaded defiance. We make the bold move and look up the stuff that you don't want in your browser history for plausible deniability if no other reason. Because with us, you might be disturbed, but you're not alone.

Jawsapalooza aka The 1916 Shark Attacks & The USS Indianapolis

Jawsapalooza aka The 1916 Shark Attacks & The USS Indianapolis

In this episode Regina and Lynn share their love of sharks, particularly their love of all things Jaws related with two true life tales that lent inspiration to the movies.

Regina tells us the tale of the 1916 shark attacks on the New Jersey shore that inspired Peter Benchley's break away novel Jaws.  We all know Regina loves delving into that era in American history, and yet again she comes back with the glaring truth of just how little people knew about things we take for granted today.

Lynn brings us home with the real life horror story that fueled the character Quint's hatred for sharks, the story of the USS Indianapolis and the fate of the 1,196 man crew who went into the water.  Delving into the darker side of terrible we see how assumption, poor communication, and baseless blame can equal tragedy.

Criminally Dumb AKA The Murder of Albert Snyder

Criminally Dumb AKA The Murder of Albert Snyder

In this episode Regina tells us about one of the most famous crimes of the 1920's, the Dumbbell Murder.  This is the sensational murder of Albert Snyder, and of the two people who put the criminal into criminally dumb.  Ruth Snyder and Henry Judd Gray, also known as the Granite Woman and the Putty Man will never be known as masterminds, and in this episode we see why.

With a murder trial that was attended by celebrities, a Guns-N-Roses connection, and the tag line of "a cheap crime, for cheap people" it has a little bit of something for everyone!

Well researched and tons of fun

Regina and Lynn track down multiple sources on each topic and put together interesting narratives that respect the victims of crime and never sensationalize. The real interest here seems to be gathering information that listeners can use to spot a potential perpetrator or bad situation. On top of this, though, Lynn and Regina are gifted showmen who deliver these stories complete with smart, darkly comic banter. Lynn in particular comes up with some of the most brilliant ad lib commentary; sometimes I have to rewind and replay because I missed a minute or two LOLing.

Elite ear candy.

Y’all wanna hear a beast of a story that both moves, and educates you for a better day? Look no further than this 10 star podcast. Regina and Lynn tell tales of the truly disturbing with their witty banter, and eye opening facts of the past and present. I truly appreciate binge-listening to their episodes, and highly suggest subscribing to their patreon.

I just don’t know....

I just don’t know why I can’t find folks like you here to befriend! Lynne I know some folks think you’re a bit much but I feel more of a kindred vibe with you. So excitable and eager to share. I love it! It did take a me a few tries to get through the first episode, but once I did I fell in love. Content is fun and so unpredictable it’s a fun break from my serious TC podcasts. Love you ladies.
(Regina I love you too but I feel like Lynne doesn’t get enough love from the listeners)
