Dysfunctional Medicines
9 sept
I just listened to two “real” doctors say “real” medicine is totally broken which is why people turn to functional medicine, which, is fallacious. If there is a prescription here I sure missed it.

Docs Who Lift ! I love this Podcast 🙌 Time to Use Emojis 👏👏💥💥💪💪💪❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 I’m an over educated small town big town dim wit (Meaning uneducated and a little silly) when it comes to health, fitness, exercise, and The New Weight Science 🧬🏋️ 🧪 … 11 Months Ago I started listening to Dr. Spence # 2 (No offense) … My Grandpa numbered his Grandkids by birth order …Me being # 1 … and so on and so on… so this makes sense in my little mind… Dr. # 2 Lifter … spoke in a way that I finally understood when it came to weight loss and The New Weight Science (I was inspired … Thanks #2) … Being over-educated (And over-fed) I tried to listen to anything from him, I could get my hands on … even shows my mother the podcast…. Ha ha … that’s serious… Then to my excellent surprise… Behold! There’s a Dr. Lifter # 1 … and they there are BROTHERS! I had to dive into this podcast and follow! Thanks soo much for the knowledge, empathy, jokes, and plain language approach! You fight the fight every day on helping people with obesity… and that’s someone like me (down 115 & still going) … I realized (it’s still hard to) I have an illness… I guess… It’s obesity… and there are treatments and methods to tackle getting healing ❤️🩹 from it… and I’m not being afraid to go to the doctor anymore… I’m doing something about it! Thanks 🙏 to you both! Check them out folks!
Unbiased science crossover?
12 jul
I’m addressing half of the podcast titled Unbiased science crossover from January 31 2024. They rip apart Dr. Lustig who was a guest on the Huberman Podcasr. I have only heard him talk once and it was on that particular podcast they are trashing. It was basically on the harmful affects of sugar and sugar substitutes. First, they make fun of the way he says fructose. They then claim his “radical views” (that sugar is the main culprit to obesity and diabetic pandemic) might keep people from enjoying foods and be interpreted that all fructose is bad and make people think that fruits and vegetables are not good for you and reduce peoples fiber intake because people aren’t eating enough fruits and vegetables. This was the only time I heard Dr Lustig speak but I can tell you that he emphasized the importance of everything that this particular podcast and group of doctors was bashing him for. I think they heard what They wanted to hear and not what he said. In summary, he said allowing yourself to enjoy foods and moderation is key. He said fiber is what separates eating fruits and vegetables from junk foods or soda. He actually said “glucose does everything inside the body” or cells and even feeds the gut microbiome. His emphasis was that the American diet is overloaded with glucose or substitutes and we are all getting an excess. My point is, they are going out of their way to completely bash a fellow endocrinologist and are completely slaughtering what he actually said. Just a little surprising and seems for self serving than anything.
