Domino Effect of Murder

www.jancantyphd.com What’s the backstory of murder after the police leave, the headlines read and news footage viewed? What's the personal fallout on first responders, witnesses, coworkers, family members and even the perpetrator years and decades later? Honest, detailed true accounts and comments by those who traveled the path are shared. In addition, some episodes spotlight information that is rarely known at the time it is needed. There are so many more victims than the ones taken to the morgue. Yet there is hope. Post Traumatic Growth does happen and no one has to go it alone. (This podcast is published twice-monthly on Wednesdays January - November.)
My brother lives on through this podcast
Feb 5
This is “my episode”. I was a little nervous to listen to it, wondering how I’d feel about everything I shared. I can honestly say I was moved deeply by listening to it. Jan creates such a warm and inviting space in which to speak. I was struck by the depth and beauty of the introduction. I loved the sound effects of children laughing, the music, and everything Jan so thoughtfully and artistically included. Having the opportunity to listen to it on this side of the interview was really great. I feel so grateful to have been given this opportunity to talk about my beloved brother whom I miss terribly but who gets to live on through this podcast. Thank you, Jan, for this courageous and important podcast and may it be of benefit to those who listen.

I have worked in the crime victim services field for over 25 years. This podcast with its focus on the victim or co-victim is incredibly powerful and informative. Helpful guidance and support is offered through information sharing and guest interviews. Highly recommend!
A must listen!

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts, and although a few podcasts interview families and friends of victims of crime, Jan brings her interviews to a new level. Her expertise and compassion are so superior to others. Listening to DEOM has given me more empathy, patience, and understanding than ever before. I was especially moved by the Pulse Nightclub episodes.
10/10 would recommend!
