Dr. Lauren Yang - Clinician, Advocate, & Living with Bipolar Disorder Psych Explained

Lauren Yang, Psy.D. (she/her) is based in the Bay Area, CA. She earned her degree at Yeshiva University in New York City. Lauren draws from her clinical training experiences at university counseling centers, an outpatient specialty clinic for bipolar disorder, and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Her professional interests include mood disorders with a specialty in bipolar disorder, emerging/young adult concerns, AANHPI mental health, and BIPOC advocacy. With her lived experience of bipolar II disorder, Lauren serves as Vice Chair of the Young Adult Council for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. She is also an active member and Leadership Fellow and Newsletter Co-Editor-in-Chief in the Asian American Psychological Association. Originally from Orange County, CA, Lauren is a second generation Korean and Filipina American who loves karaoke and food adventures with friends.
