I can do this!

Amanda knows her stuff, but relates it to her listeners in a way that makes it attainable. I am an elementary literacy coach, and I have new and better ways of supporting classroom teachers because of Amanda’s informative podcast. I also have a list of books I am eager to read, especially after listening to the paradigm shift episode.
Thank you Amanda, for the motivation to support teachers, and young readers and writers, in thoughtful, purposeful ways.

Include Other States

With 50 different states it’s impossible to know how education works in each one and I understand the hosts using only their own experience but I would like to see other states discussed. In the south and my state, TX, we don’t have a step and column. We have one column. We start at 58,000 and end at 30 years at 72,000 with a high cost of living, not CA or NYC but still high. We DON’T have unions and can’t bargain and have state insurance that’s only good in the state of Texas. I would like to see other states discussed.

Amanda’s podcast is not only focused on helping teachers, but it’s inspiring in a way that many other podcasts for education are not. I look forward to Amanda’s new, creative ideas with each episode. A must listen for any teacher- workshop or not!!
