Crude Conversations (as well as Chattermarks) explore a wide range of topics related to the history and culture of Alaska. Cody is an excellent researcher and interviewer, and he dives into subjects with depth and breadth through highly engaging conversations with a diverse array of guests - experts, artists, athletes, musicians, historians, curators, indigenous voices, scientists, etc - the interviews are inspiring and inspired and each episode is unique and special. I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough - I’m hooked!
Alaska boarding history is just the launching point

Cody originally hooked a lot of the Alaskan community with his attention to the history of skate/snowboarding in alaska. From there he has branched out to let his journalistic wings spread as he spotlights figures integral to the survival of culture and community. He turns over the rock and exposes the unsung foundational heroes building up those around them. Thanks for telling the stories Cody.
