Ep 124 I “My ____ has become my identity. I feel lost. HELP!”

Can you relate?? 🫠 Has something become your identity and now you feel lost? I think we have all been there at one point or another. Whether you feel like you’re losing yourself to motherhood, business, or even to something you once had a passion for. So let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about the reality of losing yourself AND how you can discover who you are outside of _____ again. ♥️ In this episode I also want to talk about the #struggle of balancing hobbies and business. Because let’s be honest, sometimes we want our hobbies to become a business and sometimes we need to be ok with a hobby being something we hold close as a place for fun and creativity while we build our business and/or our family.  I hope you walk away from this episode encouraged to find joy and fulfillment in life again. Because who you are and what you’re passionate about is worth rediscovering. In this episode we talk about:  Why it is so common to feel like you lose who you are when you step into motherhood or into being a business owner The pressure to prove who you are without a degree (+ how that leads to immersing yourself in your business)  How you can find hobbies that bring you back to life – and whether they can become a business for you or remain a hobby  Links to all the things mentioned:  Behind The Scenes Insights of Growing On IG (FREE! Ep 123 I In my parenting-teens era: The things I have #struggled with + learned along the way

I have stepped into a whole new struggle of raising my kids while running my business. Want to know what it is? Parenting teenagers. 😅 Are you a mompreneur like me? If so, then you know the #struggle it *can* be to raise your kids while you run your business.  In this season, I am raising 2 teenagers and one who is just a few years away from being a teenager. And I have found that a lot of people in my age group, who are navigating the teenage years of parenting … just aren’t talking about. I was not prepared for this season of parenting. Can you relate? 🥴 The pressure to be the perfect parent to teens is so heavy, yet there aren’t enough resources + community to support the parent walking through that season. So I am going to talk about it!  Whatever season of motherhood you find yourself in, you are doing a GOOD job!! Keep your head up, focused on your family, and keep going. 👏 In this episode we talk about:  How social media creates pressure in parenting  Why celebrating your kids is incredibly valuable  Raising kind humans in today’s culture  Why teaching kids life-skills is essential for their indepence + future success  Links to all the things mentioned:  Mega Biz Bundle Shop Young Living Products  Grab one of my other Free Offers!  Connect with Melissa: Instagram | @mkoehler Personal Website | melissakoehler.net Podcast Blog Post This podcast was produced by Pivot Media Co.

Ep 122: Perimenopause: No one is talking about it so I will

Are you in a funk? Are you feeling less motivated to do … really, anything? Do you feel like you are just surviving? If you resonate with any of these questions and your immediate response is YES, that’s me! You are not alone.  About a year ago, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto. And through it I have learned so much about my body – from my hormones (hello, perimenopause!) to my diet to my mental health. I was living in frustration and facing challenges because of all the changes I was having to make to support my body. I was in a funk and simply surviving.  Being in a funk can impact your entire life – from your motivation to your creativity, your social life and the perspective you have of yourself. There is no need for you to feel ashamed or embarrassed because these things we all experience when in a funk.  There is hope for you to come out on the other side! There are things you can do to get yourself out of a funk! And today, we are going to talk about them.   In this episode we talk about:  ✨ Being diagnosed with Hashimoto + how that has impacted my overall life  ✨ Ways your hormones can contribute to feeling like you’re in a funk  ✨ What perimenopause is + what I am doing to support my body through it ✨ Dietary restrictions being equally helpful + frustrating (especially when you are in a funk)     Links to all the things mentioned:  Mega Biz Bundle Shop Young Living Products  Grab one of my other Digital Products!  Connect with Melissa: Instagram | @mkoehler Personal Website | melissakoehler.net Podcast Blog Post  This podcast was produced by Pivot Media Co.
