This is My Truth is a platform for honest, open conversations. The stories shared are not often spoken about or discussed, but once told, have the ability to shine a light on another perspective, or a much needed conversation. These stories may make us laugh, some may make us cry, but together, we will learn from one another and begin to heal. Because walls need to be torn down, masks need to come off, stories need to be heard in order for our truths to be told. This is my Truth. Will you tell me yours?

Ep. 188: Secrets of a Supermom: A conversation with Lori Oberbroeckling

Ep. 188: Secrets of a Supermom: A conversation with Lori Oberbroeckling

Today I speak with my new friend Lori Oberbroeckling who is a fellow leader in Corporate America, mom of 4 kiddos and founder of several side hustles. On paper, you look at her resume and I just feel TIRED but what I love about my conversation with Lori is that 1) she practices what she preaches 2) is super real, honest & candid and 3) shares her own thoughts around how as moms we can have our cake & eat it too based off her own experiences.

More about Lori in her own words:

Lori Whitney Oberbroeckling is passionate about helping moms who want fulfilling careers–or side hustles or passion projects–while also wanting to feel present and connected to their families. She believes that moms can have an extraordinary home, an extraordinary career, and be extraordinarily happy at the same time. Lori wrote Secrets of Supermom: How Extraordinary Moms Succeed at Work and Home & How You Can Too! to share tips, strategies, and quick wins for moms that want it all.

Lori is a wife and mom of four, all while working as a leader in corporate America, and nurturing several side-hustles. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with graduate training in marriage and family therapy and counseling. She helps moms who want it all develop the skills, habits, and confidence to happily have it all.

Ep. 187: Overcoming Working Mother Burnout

Ep. 187: Overcoming Working Mother Burnout

Today's conversation with Amy Looper is one I think many working mothers can relate to - the feeling of working mom guilt which can, at times, lead to working mother burnout. In our conversation, Amy and I touch and unpack a lot of vulnerable topics - identify as a working mom, burnout and being perfectly imperfect as humans.

Today I chat with my new friend Megan Moran, Founder of The Mompreneur Guide. We chat about so many things: identifying & following your passion(s), taking leaps. Ep. 185: Going Back to Corporate...On MY Terms

Ep. 185: Going Back to Corporate...On MY Terms

In today's solo episode, I dig into where I've been over the last few months and the decisions I've made...the biggest one the decision to go back to corporate a few months ago. During the conversation, I shed light into the context behind my decision, as well as the mindset shifts I needed to make in order to get there. Because while at the end of the day, while I did decide to go back into the corporate setting, I did so on MY terms and it's been really fun to see how that feels aligned at the moment - both from a career & family perspective.

As always, I hope you enjoy!

    xoxo,

    Jessi

Very raw and real show!

With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s important that people like Jessi provide safe spaces for mothers to share and listen to such vulnerable conversations!

What are you avoiding episode so in sync

I’ve been asking myself all those questions! What does success look like for not only me but my husband. How can I truly be happy and not live in the past!
