Phelem & Ann do such a fantastic job sharing this trial that gives us just enough details to educate us about what happened with the women & Weinstein. I so appreciate all the effort that they put into getting the transcripts, etc., and also the actors are fantastic as well! I just appreciate and I’m thankful for Phelem and Ann!

The host has the audacity to suggest your son and husband or brother are at risk of being accused of rape, just because Weinstein was accused, a serial predator. She explicitly said we do not believe all women. This podcast repeats a lot rape myths. Apparently Weinstein isn’t a rapist, just a pig, according to the host. I’m upset I ever listened to this podcast with the garage she’s spewing.

The excellence of the voice-acted transcripts is completely tarnished by the last-century attitudes of the hosts who don’t seem to know anything about contemporary understandings of PTSD and other psychological mechanisms victims experience. They also don’t seem to understand that being menaced and screamed at are forms of assault. In attempting neutrality, they galvanize the kinds of harmful tropes that perpetuate rape culture. For the sake and safety of women everywhere, i hope they take a course in Women’s Studies.
