Ep. 58: Being Vulnerable on the Page: A Conversation with Lorna Rose

This Is My Truth

Today I have a conversation with Lorna Rose about ALL. The. Things. All the things that so many people don't use their voice to share, and I'm so grateful for people like Lorna who do use their voice. We talk about how she didn't feel bonded with her son after birth, parenting special needs children as well as breaking the cycle of abuse for her children.

A bit more about Lorna: Lorna is a poet and writer of narrative nonfiction. Her work has appeared in several literary journals and has been recognized by PNWA and the Oregon Poets Association. Recently she completed a memoir about her time on a trail crew in Alaska. She also writes about motherhood (everything from breastfeeding to raising two neurodiverse children), complicated familial relationships, and finding resilience through writing. To continue to follow her & her journey check out her website at https://lornarose.com or on FB at https://www.facebook.com/bigthings2/.

I hope you enjoy our conversation!

xoxo, Jessi
