The Changing Faith Podcast with Michael Hidalgo
Many of us have left our spiritual home filled with questions, doubts, skepticism and curiosity. This is a healthy spirituality and has the power to fill us with peace, joy and wonder. Yet, in our journey we often find ourselves between places that have long been familiar and new spaces to which we are being called. In those moments, between familiar places and new spaces, it is helpful to discover next steps for our continued journey. Through interviews, reflection and observations, The Changing Faith Podcast with Michael Hidalgo explores next steps, asks helpful questions, embraces skepticism and stokes curiosity for all of us who are “between”.

I especially enjoy the guests Michael interviews. I've bought some of their books, followed them on Instagram, and continue to learn and be inspired by the thoughtfulness of this podcast.

Denver Community Church and Michael Hidalgo have changed my life and made me feel less alone in my faith, questioning, and curiosity into subjects considered taboo by much of the American church. I admire Michael’s bravery to be his authentic self and explore where the spirit leads him no matter how uncomfortable. He’s also an excellent podcast host & speaker.
Questioning is good but...

Our faith is a questioning one, an intellectual one. There’s nothing at all wrong with asking questions. Unfortunately I think this guy is far more interested in the sound of his own voice than in asking genuine questions. He sounds like a televangelist, which is presumably not something the potential audience would want to hear. And to say that Christianity doesn’t have a “corner on the market” shows that he doesn’t really understand Christianity. There are lots of ways of looking at our faith in the context of other faiths, and I actually think the mainstream evangelical church doesn’t always get it right, but you also have to be able to say the Bible is the word of God and our guidance system. It’s not popular to point out that Jesus is the way, the way, and the life is Truth. If you don’t believe that, then I don’t know how you can call yourself a Christian. I think you’ve become a relativist who wants the world more than he wants heaven. This podcast will steer people in the wrong direction and for that, I pray its audience remains small.
