One of the most common misconceptions about eating disorders is that it's all about food, weight or body image. People often think that curing somebody of ED is as easy as telling them "to just start eating." In reality, helping someone recover from an eating disorder is SO MUCH MORE.
This week on the podcast, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Laurie Grunebaum joins host Julia Werth RD to discuss the ins and outs - from the root of the disease to steps toward recovery - of eating disorders from the psychology perspective. Laurie has over 25 years of private practice experience with eating disorder patients and is an assistant clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine were she supervises psychology trainees.
