Front Porch with the Fitzes, is a weekly chinwag featuring author Elyse Fitzpatrick and two of her three kids, Jessica Thompson and Joel Fitzpatrick. Sometimes some unexpected folks might even drop by and sit for a spell. Every week they’ll jibber about family life, things that interest them in culture or news, and what they’re learning about the Lord. Imagine sitting on the front porch of your ol’ Kentucky home, listening to three slightly off-kilter believers talk about life, do a lot of laughing at each other and everyone else…and then, of course, there’s always the bluegrass music playing in the background.

Congratulations!
Not my first review of the show but I wanted to give an extra shout out after the July 5th episode . No blowback here. I am immensely proud and impressed with Jessica’s announcement of her ordination. What an accomplishment and an act of service. Your show continues to make me laugh during my commute and I look forward to each new episode. Your family is what true Christians should look like-real and loving and accepting of all. Go Padres!
Informative/entertaining
Though I’m not a Christian, I came across this podcast during a search and decided to listen to an episode. I really liked the diversity of topics, the family dynamics, the sports talk, and especially the repeated fake cat ‘meows’. I’ll be checking out other episodes too.
Bummed
I used to listen to this podcast several years ago. I loved it, I love the family relationships (and still do!). I stopped listening for awhile after being very uncomfortable with a joke shared about HRC. I don’t agree at all with her politics but it still wasn’t God honoring. I just started listening again and realize it just isn’t for me. To much political talk and just not ultimately God honoring. I understand and appreciate your devotionals but the rest of your time I would ask you to think about, do we look different than the world?
