Episode 81: “Follow At Your Own Risk” with Pastor Tyler Burns Still With You hosted by Kohlie Browning

    • Religion & Spirituality

Hey friends, welcome to ‘Still With You‘ Season 4. There is no other way to begin than by saying THANK YOU! 🎉 I always prayed this podcast would grow into multiple seasons, but watching God make it possible and having your support is beyond humbling. My hope is for you to always arrive feeling loved right where you are at and leave uplifted, encouraged, and reminder that God is not leaving. He is still with you!!

To kick off this new season I am speaking to a friend who has greatly impacted my life and countless others for the better, Pastor Tyler Burns. Currently, Tyler serves as the Lead Pastor at New Dimensions Christian Center in Pensacola, Florida. He also is an author, cultural commentator, professional podcaster, TV show host, and President of The Witness Black Christian Collective. You might know him as a co-host of Pass the Mic podcast with New York Times Best-selling author, Jemar Tisby, or the from the podcast Chasing Justice. Tyler is also the coauthor of hip-hop artist Lecrae’s latest book I Am Restored: How I Lost My Religion but Found My Faith, which was released this past fall of 2020.

The first time I heard Tyler speak he received my immediate respect. Not only did I love that he dubs The Prince of Egypt movie soundtrack as one of the best underrated albums ever (no joke, Whitney Houston, Amy Grant, and Boys II Men), but he shed light on a change that needed to happen in my heart. In sharing this honest, vulnerable, and important conversation, my prayer is that you would join me in learning to love less like the world and more like Jesus. Following with bold obedience to Christ’s calling for your life comes with risk, but it is always worth doing.
