    Podcast host, model, and inspiring speaker, Holli Wright was raised on the outskirts of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in a small, blue, beat up house. Though she loved her family, especially her strong single mother who cared for her and her three siblings, Holli lived in constant fear. The small blue house she so desperately wanted to call home was abusive and unhealthy. Broken relationships with father and friends left Holli hurt and empty. She was always searching for someone to accept her, love her, and remind her that she was wanted.

    “I was always trying to fill a void, that only God could fill”.

    During her senior year of high school Holli was invited to church and experienced God’s faithfulness and comfort for the first time in her life. After rededicating her life to Jesus she found a new security growing closer in relationship with Him. Now knowing her true identity as a daughter in Christ she witnessed her prayers being answered through God’s provision and found pure joy in serving Jesus.

    In 2012, Holli attended the Healing Place Church and began serving in high school ministry where she fell in love with encouraging young girls of the future generation. Two years later Holli moved to San Diego, California where she lives still today.

    Holli is the founder and CEO of HER, a media platform where she shares blog posts, podcasts episodes, fashion, and offers a space to bring community to girls around the world. Holli’s heart is to help influence girls of all ages by encouraging them to find their purpose and walk in their calling.

    “I want girls to know that our past does not define their future. God can use any situation we go through, and turn it around for good. I hope you follow me on this journey as a fierce, strong, and a woman after God’s own heart. Let’s be HER together.”

What began as a sincere connection over warm mugs of coffee led to vulnerability, maybe even years of memories together, often ends in deep soul wounds and a knotted need for healing in hearts. Friendship is complicated and perhaps, you have considered giving up in investing in relationships altogether?

    Today on the show I am speaking with a new friend who hears you! Her sneakers were scuffed for a season, walking in a painful experiences involving friendship.

    Andi Andrew is the author of She Is Free and Fake or Follower and is the founding pastor, with her husband, Paul, of the multisite Liberty Church, established in 2010. In 2015, she launched She Is Free, a movement that exists to equip and activate women to walk in freedom, spirit, soul, and body and see others set free in their sphere of influence. Currently Andi’s life is focused on raising her four kids in Brooklyn, writing, podcasting, building Liberty Church, and traveling to invest in churches and lives all around the world.

    Her third book Friendship–It’s Complicated: Avoid the Drama, Create Authentic Connection, and Fulfill Your Purpose Together releases today. By being a member of the launch team I had the opportunity to read the entire book early, before it released and friends, it is amazing!! I am so excited to share a moment of meeting to speak with her about it’s powerful message.

    Through vulnerable personal stories laden with joy, heartache, mistakes, and lessons learned, Andi invites you on a journey of navigating the complications that can come in friendships with other women. With practical and biblical applications throughout, this book will empower you to do the work by first facing yourself and untangling the mess, then seeking reconciliation for genuine connection.

    Extra Ice: 2 Timothy

    Learning to rest is hard work. Stepping away from notification screens, messy office desks, and lengthy to-do lists demands discipline, patience, and practice. However, the reward of rest is not only refreshing, but Biblical. Every seventh week of ‘Still With You’ we sabbath by being in the word of God together.

    Rather than taking a quick sip of reading a chapter from the Bible, this week we are serving up a whole book! Second Timothy, written by Paul the Apostle, is the second of two inspired letters Paul wrote to his son in the faith, Timothy. This personal letter was written while Paul was once again in Roman prison rearrested as part of Nero’s persecution of Christians. Paul wrote this personal letter in a cold cell in chains and with no hope of deliverance. He was abandoned by virtually all of those close to him in fear of persecution or immediate execution. Second Timothy is the last letter in the Bible written by Paul before his death. The man who experienced scales falling from his eyes and the, perhaps, the greatest life transformation of all time would be not be set free from prison, but released to Heaven, dying a martyr for the cause of Chris.

    If you are eager for a breezy read, accept my apology early! Paul’s message is not easy to drink in, but we must be strong and preach the Word.

The story of Rahab the prostitute in Joshua Chapter 2 is one of rescue and redemption. The fact that God would break literal walls to save Rahab and offer her not only a new life of freedom, but also the gift of His word, and the honor of being in lineage of Jesus…AMAZING!! Friends, forget any label you have attached to your life. Cast off the lies you have been told about who you are. Your sins, messy past, actions, occupation, goals, and appearance do not define who you are. Our true identity is found only in JESUS, being sons and daughters of the most High, our loving Father God. ♥️

    Have you ever formed a preconceived notion and later learned what you believed was far from the truth? Perhaps you have experienced prejudice first hand and are weary from being wrapped in hurtful blanket statements?

    Culture creates its own assumptions or half truths that we call stereotypes that can easily make its way into our lives and control the way we perceive ourselves and others. Yet, even while walking through shattered glass ceilings it is still easy to struggle with finding your identity.

    Author and speaker, Simi John , was seven years old when her family moved from India to Dallas, Texas. She grew up attending weekly church services with her family and loved learning from the Word daily. Simi placed her relationship with God above all else and when she felt led to share the good news of Jesus with others she was was met with a resounding “No”. The leaders of the church where we was raised discouraged her from preaching the word of God because she was a woman.

    Rather than carrying spiritual and emotional scars of being mislabeled and blocked out from using her voice Simi found refuge in scripture. She found healing by intently studying what the Bible says about women and from this wrote I Am Not: Break Free From Stereotypes & Become The Woman God Made You To Be, her first book.

    Today Simi and her husband Jayson lead New Life Bible Church in Norman, Oklahoma where is passionate about preaching the word of God. Simi loves to empower and encourage women to walk in their true identity and live out their purpose. She is never shy to share she story nor pass the megaphone for others to own, “I AM NOT!”

    After years of owning a successful photography and video business, Pensacola, Florida locals, Caleb and Hayley Pierce, felt a new entrepreneurial idea brewing within their hearts. Blending both their passion for creativity and cultivating community, opening a coffee company was always an exciting hope for the future! Yet, rather than making any abrupt moves or hurrying into a launch season, Caleb and Hayley chose to patiently wait, pouring out their dream to serve others before the Lord.

    In March 2021 Maker’s Coffee Co. made its debut on South Palafox Street in downtown Pensacola, serving over four hundred cups of coffee in a single afternoon. Buzz of the new favorite pop up coffee shop percolated the city and social media creating an overflow excitement surrounding the company. Since its opening Maker’s Coffee Co. has continued to fuel the community one americano, cappuccino, and espresso, at a time. ☕️

    Maker’s Coffee Co. is much more than handcrafted mochas served continently over a coffee cart. It’s story begins and continues with God’s perfect plans. Long before the business had a name or logo Caleb and Haley bravely committed to following His will over their own, even when this looked liked burying their dreams for a season. The Bible shares in Ephesians 3:20 that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. In hearing this I am encouraged not in my own capability, but in His perfect plans for each us.
