Evolution of a Reader
22/09/2015
Listening to educator and literacy evangelist Jennifer Williams talk about her evolution as a reader - going from reading simply for pleasure, to research, to reading with and for her kids - was a kind of road trip of its own. Her enthusiasm and self-awareness were contagious as she chronicled her reading adventures, but also a reminder that our relationship to words and story are constantly evolving. We do ourselves a real disservice if we do not continue to feed, reflect on and grow that part of our being. Stories are woven into and help us make sense of who we are. Bravo to Jennifer and the Edu Road Trip team for such an entertaining and thoughtful look at the role reading plays in our lives.
