From the desert to the Sunset Strip, Jess has been mixing underground music since 1999. The LA native and now San Diego based artist mixes a wide range of genres fusing old school with new school. Blurring genre boundaries, Jess likes to paint stories with music and take listeners on an emotional journey with ever changing sonic textures with meaningful music. Much of his style is on the darker end of the spectrum with worldly textures, deep grooves, heavy percussion, progressive melodies and big sound. Jess is a big advocate for deep crate digging to find those gems of hidden tracks and white labels from unknown artists. Current Supported Genres: Afro House, Organic House, Playa Tech, Progressive, Tribal, Breaks, Trance, Electro Acid , Psy, Goa, and all flavors of Techno. Jess' current projects includes Lotus Moon Gatherings (@lotusmoongatherings) and plays with We Are Muxic Collective (@wearemuxic) in SoCal and Mexico circuit.

    25 years ago, I first laid my hands on some Technic 1200s and became addicted! To celebrate this huge milestone, I decided to produce some sets that made me fall in love with the scene in the first place. After going through over 7,500 tracks from the 90’s and early 2000’s, I came up with the White Doves and Green Triangles Mixes. I wanted it to represent what was happening in Los Angeles trance scene, my hometown. Full of hidden gems, forgotten treasures, lessor known mixes, and a couple of my favorite tracks from that era, I wanted to create something authentic in every way. The White Doves mix is more of a pre-midnight mix where the Green Triangles mix is more full on rave, but structured to listen to one after the other. If you were an raver in Los Angeles during the 90s, I hope it’s nostalgic and brings back “that feeling.” X and doses…

    About Espacio: Commissioned in 2023 by top listener Calvin G., Espacio is part two of a series inspired by the exploration of space and also The Crystal Method's "High Roller” as a reference track. Jess originally created "Last Night on Earth" as part one in the series which is about an astronaut romanticizing about their upcoming launch to space. This euphoric journey explores their dreams and potential difficulties the would encounter with a blissful return home. The follow up “Espacio” is about the realities and complications of space travel. From the start, Espacio launches you into orbit to experience dark euphoria but quickly encounters some unexpected visitors that show this traveler the depths of space never scene before. Pushing the voyage to its limits with danger, thrill, and the unexpected. This set spans many genres breaking sound barriers!
