CHERRIES HOPES CRUSHED - AFC Bournemouth 0-2 Liverpool - Did Referee Help Reds Destroy Our Dreams?

Prior to this match, AFC Bournemouth fans were in a buoyant mood. The club had demolished Nottingham Forest 5-0 at home a week beforehand (and this is a Nottingham Forest team who just before we took to the pitch, in the early kick off, thrashed Brighton and Hove Albion 7-0 at the City Ground!) We could be forgiven thinking we might actually upset the League Leaders, a Liverpool team who have been so dominant in every competition they have played in, pretty much every game and with Mo Salah back on fire hitting the back of the net in every game he plays. However it wasn't to be and there was plenty of controversy as after the half hour mark, Darren England the referee in the middle, gave the Reds a penalty kick which was cooly dispatched by the Egyptian who should get the Ballon D'or. But did Lewis Cook actually touch Cody Gakpo as multiple angles give contrasting thoughts. David Brooks also had the ball in Liverpool's net but his fantastic strike was ruled out due to an offside by Milos Kerkez in the build up. Justin Kluivert could have had a goal but missed the target before Mo scored the second, a beautiful strike, to send the Reds and Arne Slot back to Merseyside happy. We welcomed on Jack McIndoe from Anfield Index and Anfield Road TV to discuss the game and the big decisions and what he thought of the Cherries. We go through each decision with different perspectives and cover off the star performers in the game. Let us know what you think of the match and the decisions in the comments below and we thank Jack for joining us on this show. 🍒 Questions? EXCEPTIONAL - AFC Bournemouth's RISE To Europe Continues - CHERRY PICKING #69

Craig and Matt are back for another dose of Cherry Picking as we review everything which has happened at Dean Court over the past week including that EXCEPTIONAL win over Nottingham Forest last weekend as the Cherries ran out 5-0 winners over The Tricky Trees! We also cover some concerning news over Dean Huijsen and the clause in his contract as discussed by Fabrizio Romano earlier this week. We also cover the issues with Dean Court and UEFA should the Cherries reach Europe with Southampton and St Marys (Yuk), Reading and Madejski Stadium (Shiver), Portsmouth and Fratton Park (Pass the Bucket) or Bristol City and Ashton Gate (now your being stupid) being named as possible venues should we not get to play at home! I'm sure Bill Foley will sort it though... Andoni Iraola has been nominated for Manager of The Month and Justin Kluivert and Dean Huijsen battle it out for Player of The Month for January whilst we also look to our game against Liverpool at home. Let us know what you think ahead of another massive week for the Cherries! 🍒 Questions? SPURS TO BURST OUR BUBBLE? - Could Andoni Iraola Leave AFC Bournemouth Heading To Tottenham Hotspur

Andoni Iraola continues to do an unbelievable job at AFC Bournemouth. The Basque Manager has a young team of talented individuals which he has on the verge of Europe with the Premier League's smallest club. There are no surprise that there are suitors who would like Andoni to head to their club. Ask anyone who their Manager of the Season is up to this point and many will name the former Rayo Vallecano man. However a horrible rumour has been circling that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a replacement to Ange Postecoglou as the likeable Aussie continues to stumble through the season with his side sitting just above the relegation zone. And Iraola is the man they would like. But why would Iraola ever in a million years want to go there? Craig and Matt discuss this at great length and dissect the rumour mill, dive into the managers who went to Spurs and ultimately failed (many will say not to their own doing) and where the real problem lies. We give the reasons why Iraola will stay and begrudgingly look at the possible reasons why he would go. But we also look at the situation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the reason why this might not be his best avenue. Everything from American Football to Daniel Levy to Injuries to Scottish Football is discussed in this discussion. Plus we ask where would tempt Iraola? Barcelona perhaps? Real Madrid maybe? Or a bigger club like Arsenal if they decided to part with Mikel Arteta? (Please don't hate on us Spurs fans). Let us know what you think and your honest opinions... 🍒 Questions? PETER HOOTON - THE FARM - New Music & Title Charge BUT Are Cherries Liverpool's Toughest Test Yet?

Liverpool visit Dean Court on Saturday with ONE Premier League defeat to their name - this coming at the hands of Nottingham Forest - the side who were on the end of AFC Bournemouth in last week's 5-0 battering. They are in the Semi Finals of the Carabao Cup where they will be looking to avenge only their SECOND defeat in all competitions this season. That is against lowly Tottenham Hotspur who continue to be Spursy in every sense of the word. In Europe, the Reds sit TOP of the new look Champions League that the Cherries can only dream of joining next season winning EVERY single game. Oh and they beat Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup! So the question has to be... despite heroic manager Jurgen Klopp leaving last summer CAN Liverpool win a never done before Quadruple? Well maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves but this has to be the toughest test for AFC Bournemouth this season. And AFC Bournemouth might just be the last place Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants to go as they continue to romp towards the title. We had the pleasure of welcoming back onto UTCIAD The Farm frontman Peter Hooton who has just like Liverpool Football Club has had a VERY good 2024. The band have been working on their new album, released three fantastic singles and are back at festivals! Craig Beazley spoke with the man at the front of The Farm about the hit singles Forever & Ever, Feel The Love and the single with the same name as the album coming in May Let The Music (Take Control). You will be able to hear a segment of Forever & Ever as well in this show and you can listen to the full track here - https://open.spotify.com/album/01jcdtroKg3BgY0qhdAAHK?si=b4oGnQtQSzyDtvQb2i9bGg For more information on the up and coming album and loads more visit - https://thefarmmusic.co.uk/ We also discuss the Cherries European challenges should our dreams become reality plus Milos Kerkez rumours, Richard Hughes effect and the players who might be departing Anfield in the not so distant future. Can the Cherries surprise the Premier League's leaders this weekend which would be only Liverpool's THIRD defeat in all competitions? We thank Peter Hooton for joining us on this show and thank you to Shoot Music for making this possible.
