This episode will be such a joy for everyone who’s felt defeated by failure. I’m so excited to bring you Paola Soares, a former journalist and national news producer whose stories have appeared on Univision, ABC News and Telemundo among other major news outlets.

Now she is the Host of the newly launched, But First She Failed Podcast. Paola is on a mission to normalize the idea of failure because of her own personal story of fear of failure. Now she is committed to helping others redefine the idea of failure so they can chase bold dreams.

On this wonderful conversation we talked about:

Her beginnings in the journalism industry and moving to Miami for her dream job.

How to deal with an unexpected setback and failing.

The importance of confidence and knowing your strengths, and more importantly, understanding your weaknesses.

Honoring your own healing time while having grace with yourself and your process.

And most importantly: how to gain confidence after a failure.

Season Finale: What I wish I knew before starting my podcast

Season Finale: What I wish I knew before starting my podcast

I once heard that opinions are like armpits: everyone has one and it usually smells.

And while yes, this is usually the case, I am the QUEEN of unsolicited advice.

So for this season finale of Fairly Bold, I knew that I had to go out in typical Eugenia fashion: recapping lessons, wins, and failures.

Don’t worry, this is not going to be a dramatic Netflix-style one year pause. I’m just taking one month off.

BUT, since I’m going to be away for this month of April, I wanted to leave you with some food for thought.

These are 8 tips, or lessons, that I’ve learned through this first season of the Fairly Bold podcast, and I think you can apply to your life literally today.

Remember that you can download your FREE mini course on how to make CONFIDENT choices today. It’s time to start moving forward: http://bit.ly/confidentchoice

#18. Why Feminism May Fail You

#18. Why Feminism May Fail You

Today’s episode is going to equip you with the tools you need to hopefully identify the messages that are negatively impacting you in the name of “empowerment”.

My hope is to inspire you. To give you a different perspective.

I don’t want to change your mind, I want to present you with a different option.

Maybe you haven’t felt truly “empowered” no matter how hard you try.

Maybe finally you’re going to understand why.

    On this episode we discuss:

    Brief overview of feminism

    The different waves of feminism

    Modern feminism and empowerment

    Where do I stand

    These are the resources mentioned:

Previous episode on my break up with female empowerment

    Previous episode on boundaries

    Mental health studies

Other studies about anxiety in the US

Tammy Bruce on the Pillars of Feminism

I love the way this girl go through different topics. Always pushing you to be yourself no matter what is trending. I recommend to listen it many times because there are very important secondary ideas. Go on E!
