    Retro Episode 53 | 2018 Festive Special

It’s been well over a year since our last episode, so we thought it was about time to return to the mic for a festive round-up of our 2018. Join us for an hour and thirty minutes of catching up as we discover what tattoo Dylan got in Thailand, why Simon had a horrifying client meeting, and whether Andrew’s children and wife would be able to wear a trench-coat and pass themselves off as one person.

    Recorded on December 1, 2018.

Retro Episode 52 | Guessing adverts with Martin Evans

Retro Episode 52 | Guessing adverts with Martin Evans

Simon wonders whether it’s morally acceptable to not Add Hope when purchasing food from KFC, Andrew is interrogated for any inside facts about whether Christ Church Kenilworth is indeed haunted, and Dylan is surprised by the quantity of knives on sale at The Old Biscuit Mill Market.

We also discuss bad travel suggestions in a game of Rejected Ideas, we chat to our special guest Martin Evans about some of the adverts he’s appeared in, and we compete in the Angelia Jolie quiz. Warning, there is some filth when we discuss Martin’s appearance in Black Sails, so if you don’t enjoy that, you probably should never watch Black Sails.

Retro Episode 51 | Is he a dingo? with Derick Watts and the Sunday Blues

After years of consuming mainly YouTube videos, Andrew has finally decided to watch a movie. Unfortunately that movie is Green Lantern. Dylan is perplexed about the actual use of toilet seats, and Simon shares from a new book he’s found: The World’s Greatest Alien Abductions (https://www.amazon.com/Worlds-Greatest-Alien-Abductions/dp/0753700875).

Also our good friends Gareth and Nic from Derick Watts and the Sunday Blues join us for a game of True of False, and we see how much we know about the man who eats in every film he’s in… the one and only, Brad Pitt.

Retro Episode 50 | Babies and muffins with Carl Weber

Dylan is having a terrible week. Not only is he a bit sick, but he’s frustrated at how bad Iron Fist is and by an incident at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Simon gets Andrew’s advice on correct puzzle etiquette, and once again has had a strange run-in at a bathroom. Andrew reveals his true feelings about shaking hands, and quizzes the brothers on their knowledge of X-men ruiner, Jennifer Lawrence.

    Retro Episode 49 | Arriba!

The Brothers are finally back after getting some much needed rest recovering from their sixth Grahamstown Festival. Simon brings everyone up to speed on his latest bathroom adventures, Dylan makes a risotto, and Andrew worries about whether the Grahamstown interviews means he is no longer the tallest person that has been on the podcast. We also play a game of Liarbility and compete in the Matt Damon quiz. It’s good to be back…

Humorous Banter from South Africa

While these guys can be an acquired taste, they don't have a mean bone anywhere, and their topics are often silly, inconsequential, and sort of an endless loop. But this is deceptive, as they are SO good at it. I've listened to them off and on for years. Find their music videos on YouTube, as well, including the one that introduced me to them: The Graham Norton Show, singing their Anna Paquin song.
