    New Season Intro

    New Season Intro

Welcome to a brand new season of the Reboots Podcast!

This summer is all about arriving at reasonable happiness - even in the midst of great hardship and the chaos that surrounds so many of us now.

    How is that possible?

Through the now-common prayer in which we ask for help in accepting the things we cannot change, and having the courage to change what we can.
There's a constellation of topics surrounding change navigation, like mental health, behavioral science, the 12 steps of recovery, and gratitude.
We're kicking off the 2020 season of episodes with Dr. Benjamin Hardy - an organizational psychologist and writer. He shares insights into the hope of changing ourselves and debunks popular personality studies that he believes tend to keep us stuck where we are instead of believing we can change who we are.
Can't wait to share this episode and much more with you.

Here's the link to 15 Things I've Learned About Navigating Change.

TCJ 025: Gratitude with Caesar Kalinowski

TCJ 025: Gratitude with Caesar Kalinowski

Episode 25 of The Change Journals features my friend Caesar Kalinowski.
In our continuation of our 30-days of gratitude challenge, Caesar talks about how gratitude not only changes us but also changes other people when we dare to share gratitude.
Caesar remembers how difficult it was for him - as an adult - to write a tribute letter to his father because the childhood relationship had been so painful. And how that activity began to rewire remembrance - for both of them, and how it brought profound healing to both of them - and into a deeper relationship with a Heavenly Father.
Join Caesar for The Gospel in Everyday Life later this week.
Sign up for the 30-Days of Gratitude challenge.
We’re teaching quick habits for building and maintaining a gratitude habit - not just through the holidays but for a lifetime.

TCJ 024: Gratitude with Steve Austin

TCJ 024: Gratitude with Steve Austin

Steve Austin is a former pastor who nearly died by suicide.

In this episode - which ties in with our FREE 30-Day Gratitude Challenge - Steve walks us through the first hours and days following his failed suicide attempt and how a therapist helped him find gratitude.

Remember when we were kids and we drew hand turkeys at Thanksgiving?

Steve shows us the connection between the hand drawing and gratitude.

Plus, he walks us through what to do when we can only think of one thing for which we are grateful - and how we can use "why" questions to engage our children in a gratitude practice.

Steve prepared a free resource just for this conversation. It's designed to teach you the "hand turkey" gratitude method.

    Download it here.

Mike Vardy is a long-time podcaster, productivity practitioner, and writer.

Mike’s new book TimeCrafting: A Better Way to Get the Right Things Done is available for preorder on Amazon.

Keep up to date with the book launch here.

Mike’s journaling method is ridiculously simple.

He uses his phone, the Day One app, and the Drafts app - using dictation and photo images to quickly capture the most important parts of each day.

But Mike says that’s not where the magic happens.

You’ll hafta listen to the conversation to learn the secret journaling ingredient that super-charges Mike Vardy’s life and business.

Plus, check out the guest post I wrote for Shawn Blanc about how “The Note” helped me slay the dragon of self-doubt.

So excited to see a new season. Love the concept of celebrating reboots. Just listened to the Benjamin Hardy interview and the conversation was deep and rich and dug into so many areas of life that we need to address. The conversation on journaling was significant for me. Looking forward to more.
