The blitz podcast was an improvement from the first one. I like that this one was more organized and we knew what subjects would be touched upon in each part. Mrs.seawagen was and amazing addition to the episode. I believe she did an amazing job at explaining a different view on not physical masks but personality masks. I really like the different views on mask and the reasons for masks in today society. I was also impressed by the way you drew a parallel from masks to politics. I think the beginning of part one seemed a little to scripted and it sounded like you were reading straight from a paper.

I thought that this was extremely thorough for your first podcast! Throughout the brief yet informative session, the audience was exposed to mind-opening ideas on how society is influenced by five key components based off of Jonathan Haidt. Personally, I enjoyed the allusions to more common experiences, such as rivalry sport teams and teenage jobs. I thought these references, as well as the way the two speakers constantly bounced off ideas from one another, created a comfortable atmosphere for the audience, in which he/she was not only allowed but encouraged to ponder the discussions brought about. I am looking forward to the next sessions, for the end of the podcast had mentioned a series of questions which drew my attention. Wonderful job! Erin Dunn

I thought that this was a great first episode and if this is an indication of future episodes, it will be a great source of learning outside the classroom. The definition of partisanship served as the foundation for the episode. Both speakers referenced the definition in their sports analogies. I enjoyed the sports analogies because I think that it is universally something people can connect to. Both speakers referenced Boston, but also connected these analogies to New York. I thought this was beneficial because it allowed people to relate to the point that the speakers were trying to make. My favorite part was that each speaker learned from one another and as students we can learn from them, but also teach them a thing or two. This demonstrated that learning comes full circle. Also, it was great how you both bounced ideas off each other and were not looking at a script, which created a comfortable atmosphere. However, maybe next time you can reference another interest such as movies, songs, or books to the analogies. I thought the length of the episode was ok because it was like having another class period, but my attention began to wander. I did, however, like having the break. It allowed me to soak up all the information that I just heard and prepare for the next half of the episode. It was both informative, yet argumentative. Great first episode!
