Three friends improvise a story together by creating a game, characters, and a fantasy world. Jamie is the unknowing hero. Jake plays multiple quirky cast members. And Nathan ties it all together as the Writer of the story. No one knows what will happen next, because it's all improvised! This story has been completed. New episodes are posted on the other show, just called Knight's Quest.

Ep 3.01: Lost in conversation
A new adventure begins (or the same one continues) as Raner and his friends find themselves in the middle of the jungle. They need to work together to find their way home, or at least to civilization. Along the way they encounter a powerful being, and maybe don't start off on the right foot. Plus 3 new character sheets are added to the party all with the new rules. What a wild ride this is going to be.

Ep 3.02: Inception interception
Raner and his friends make their way towards the only sign of civilization in the jungle. Jonathan pulls a prank. Raner learns of a new threat. Quis overcomes a fear. Grorg does more exposition. And Abiil awakens surrounded by snakes.

Ep 3.03: Something to eat
Raner and the gang arrive in the Rylian city of The Beacon. And of course, the first thing they do in this wonderous and magical city is find somewhere to eat lunch. And even then, they still find a way to cause trouble.
-
Ep 3.04: The one where they work in a restaurant
After discovering that they can't pay the bill, Raner and his friends are forced into a day of hard labor. Will they do good work at their new job, or will they be trapped forever? Meanwhile, Trouble has run away, and Rhaesh is the only one able to catch him. Also, Katrina does sneaky assassin stuff, as usual.
-
Ep 3.05: Epic work slumber party
After a hard days work, Raner and his friends go hang out at their coworker's house. Grorg tells some old tales. Quis discovers something he probably shouldn't. Meanwhile, Katrina is learning more about Runn and her story. Is Runn trustworthy, or is she sketchy? Is it possible to be both?
-
Ep 3.06: Noticing issues
Our time in The Beacon has been relatively chill and without conflict. Well, what if that all changed? Katrina gets into an altercation. Abiil creates his mugnum opus. Raner finds who he's looking for. And a whole new problem arises with the morning.

This podcast is good.
There are moments in a person’s life that determine who they are. These moments are remembered and either cherished or despised for the rest of our lives. The death of a loved one, the birth of a child, receiving the lifetime achievement you worked for, or finding that it is an impossible dream, we all have these moments. Listening to Knight’s Quest for the first time is a moment you will cherish forever. It will make the birth of your firstborn seem like a day that was “alright I guess”. Clear your schedule, buy some expensive headphones, and hang on to your butts.
The characters are so vivid, so lively, so charming, you’ll feel like you know them on a personal level where they could ask you for a cup of sugar and you’d say you bet my man, we still on for Yahtzee tonight? The fantasy elements are all there: bread, cows, bats, gold, ocarinas, hockey pucks, all presented in fine form! Nathan and Jake create countless voices, but somehow they all sound like angels. Jamie plays a hilarious main character, which makes me think he learned to be so comical from a family member, possibly a brother.
Buy these boys a drink if you’re lucky enough to meet them in person.
Like Having Friends in Your Car
I binge listened to the first season in my car while I’ve been driving, and it’s like having highly creative friends in your back seat telling ridiculous made up stories just to pass the time. Their enjoyment of their own show is contagious and you can’t help but play along and try to imagine your own outcomes. I played DND in high school, and while this “improvised storytelling with dice” is similar, I love the freedom they’ve found with this game. Way to go fellas! Leroy is the best hero! ;)
