don’t leave!
just discovered you guys and think you’re great! What are your thoughts on posting less often, like once a month. Its obvious you don’t want to stop just as much as your fans would hate to see you leave. I may only be 3 episodes deep at the moment but I know i’ll end of binging. just don’t close the door forever, goodbye for now is much better than goodbye forever xo
Technical observation issues
(1) In a subsequent interview, the primary lighthouse technician stated that there has been a STEEL PLATE installed from the commissioning of the lighthouse which BLOCKS the lighthouse’s light signal on the LAND SIDE of the lighthouse.
This provision for lighthouse design is not unique. Otherwise, residents in the area would go MAD due the the repeated high intensity light being cast UNNECESSARILY over land.
The aforementioned facts entirely discount the debunking efforts by many who imply that these permanent duty personnel (e.g.( assigned for several years to the air base) can’t tell the difference between a lighthouse and an aerial platform.
(2) LT. Col Halt’s micro-recorder was started & stopped repeatedly to save tape time. The blank tape was only a 20-minute (if not interrupted) cassette tape. Notwithstanding the fact that the lighthouse had a natal plate installed on the land side of the lighthouse (which blocked OVER LAND LIGHT BEAM PROJECTION), LT Col Halt’s micro recorder was not recording on a non-interrupted fashion which eliminates the “almost sounds like a lighthouse” analysis—besides being a moot point due to the metal plate.
(3) I used NVGs as a military and civilian pilot since 1983 (more than 35 years total NVG experience). My opinion is that the testimony offered regarding their “starlight scope” observations are a very small & almost entirely immaterial part of their report, and in any case, is not contradictory to the aforementioned facts.
(4). Personally, I believe their story. Seems credible.
Thanks guys. Great production. You gents are hilarious & you present a very solid show. Also, the “Southern” impersonating efforts— although irrelevant, were also quite funny…despite the unnecessary implication that somehow, Southerners had something to do with the bizarreness of the USAF personnel’s sworn statements. The cigar on one hand & scotch whisky in the other was a hilarious albeit probably inaccurate image. LT Col Halt is a straight shooter. Likewise, USAF’s personnel reliability program would certainly have screened out an irresponsible officer (as suggested, perhaps) prior to assigning him as a base deputy commanding officer.
