    Gut Feeling Trusting Your Gut

    Gut Feeling Trusting Your Gut

    Welcome to the show.

Today, we're going to be talking about trusting your gut - gut feeling.

It will be a good idea with this show if you download the graphic so that you can follow along. You can print this off, or pull it up on your screen.

You can download this from https://yournewmindproject.com/

    So...

How is gut feeling is working for you? Can you develop it to be more in-line with your life? Can you put more trust in your gut feeling?

OK, so the main thing here is to keep in mind that when we're talking about gut feeling is to understand where those feelings are coming from.

    Your Subconscious Mind

It's coming from our subconscious mind.

It's our body reacting to signals sent from our subconscious. The physical place or mental space that we find ourselves in is being interpreted on a conscious and unconscious level. That information is then delivered back to us as understanding. This understanding as we shall call it is often manifested through the body, which can result in a gut feeling which can also be called instinctive knowing.

If we understand how this all works, we will perhaps have more confidence in using our gut feeling and reacting to it.

    Smart Goals Template

    Smart Goals Template

Today, we're going to be going over the new Smart Goals Template.

It might be a good idea if you follow along with the slide.

OK, so writing smart goals. Let's set out how you do this. If we're looking at traditional smart goals' template, we are really talking about achieving 'things' in our life.

We want a particular thing that we go after as opposed to writing smart goals based on use-value.

Using the acronym that we went over last time which was V-A-L-I-D

OK, on the template, I selected two key components that were a little off the wall here. The first is I set as an outcome that I wanted to achieve $20,000 per month income.

It's important to understand that I have not selected this amount as if you were just making the standard smart goals template approach.

I had to come up with an example of a reward. I also selected something to do; that's a bit off the wall. I chose a stand-up comedian as my desired outcome.

OK, I'm not a stand-up comedian, but you can see what I did here. I wanted you to say to yourself...

"OK, if this is going to work for this, this is going to work for anything."

Now, just one of the things before we just get into this, I will be doing a podcast/video/post on the intuitive, creation process. That's the process that you're going to be using to come up with this core thing that you really want to do that's within you This is the thing that you wish to get out and share with the world, as it were.

Let's kick this off by getting to the first letter of our acronym.

    Value - Validity.

We are going to fill out this box, and we ask these three questions.

    Why do we do this?

    What is the purpose?

    What is my reasoning?

See, on the template I wrote,

I want to make people laugh.

I want to show that humour is good for the mind, body and soul.

I think the world right now would benefit from some laughter.

So straight off from here, remember, this is all fictitious. I'm writing this as if this was my goal. This gives you an idea of how versatile and powerful this is.

Smart Goals V's New Smart Goals

Smart Goals V's New Smart Goals

Today we are going to be talking about traditional smart goals and the new smart goals method.

Now, if you're familiar with the Smart Goals acronym SMART, you might know it is constructed like this:

    S. Specific.

    M. Measurable.

    A. Actionable.

    R. Relevant.

    T. Time-bound.

Now this is a great acronym, and smart goals are pretty good for, let us say, achieving 'things' in your life.

The problem with a lot of goals setting is the failure rate. We fail to attain the goals we set. The principal reason for this is because we create a lot of our goals based on what society portrays as success.

Society gives us a lot of goals which turn out to be egocentric.

What do I mean by egocentric?

Let's try and break this down.

By setting goals, we're looking to achieve something that we don't currently possess.

Often the root of these goals is providing us with something helpful to our personal life, or to give us some advantage over another person or situation.

Now, at a base level, it seems okay. It seems right. This is the process we should be following. This is the type of goal we should be aiming for. It gives us something specific that will enhance our life.

And like I say, we usually set these goals around the idea of attaining 'things'. So we might want to achieve a particular position in our company. We might want to accomplish a specific level of income. We might want to achieve a particular level of authority.

But these types of goals are very much egocentric type of goals. This is why around 80% of our goals are not reached.

Some people even say it's as high as 90% per cent of our goals end up failing. So what I will propose here is that we look at a NEW smart goals method.
