    🌏Article As e-foils have become popular in the past few years, more and more people have been going to the beach not to swim, but to fly. Unlike traditional hydrofoil surfboards, e-foils have a propeller that allows them to work without the need for wind or waves. However, some people worry about the safety of these vehicles. Speaking to Designboom, Jerry McArthur of HydroFlyer, an e-foil company, said he loves e-foils, but he was afraid to teach his friends and family after seeing people have bad accidents while learning. He wanted to find a way to make e-foils safer for everyone while still being fun. So he designed HydroFlyer's e-foils with handlebars to make them easier to use. With the handlebars — which can also be removed — the company promises that even a beginner can learn to ride in less than 15 minutes. But that comes with a cost. While most e-foils cost between about $4,000 and $12,000, HydroFlyer's e-foils start at about $14,000. Riders can make the vehicle go faster or slower by using a controller on the handlebars. And at a speed of 6-7 kilometers per hour, it will start to rise out of the water.     🌏Article A German animal shelter has found a new way to find homes for pets who need them — by using the dating app Tinder. Looking for a way to get younger people interested in getting a pet, the Munich Animal Welfare Association has put 15 dogs and cats on the dating app. To make the animals look as good as possible, the shelter is even working with the Territory advertising agency to take photos of them and help to create their profiles. If someone "matches" with one of the animals, a chatbot asks them questions to see if they would be good owners. For example, the chatbot asks if the person has a garden. Jillian Moss from the shelter told Reuters that the response has been very good. Moss said that several people have contacted the shelter to arrange their first "date" with one of the animals. However, one good date doesn't mean someone is getting a pet. The shelter says possible new pet owners will have to spend time getting to know the animal before it decides whether or not they can take the cat or dog home.     🌏Article Few Palestinians in the West Bank have had a chance to travel on an airplane. The territory has no civilian airport and those who can afford a plane ticket must catch their flights in neighboring Jordan. But just outside the northern city of Nablus, twin brothers Khamis and Ata al-Sairafi are offering people the next best thing with an old plane that has been converted into a restaurant. "Ninety-nine percent of Palestinians have never used an airplane," said Khamis al-Sairafi. He said that only officials and government workers use them, but now regular people have a chance to experience planes too. After more than 20 years of effort, the brothers opened "The Palestinian-Jordanian Airline Restaurant and Coffee Shop al-Sairafi" on July 21. Families, friends and couples came for drinks in the cafe, which is underneath the plane. Many others came to take photos inside at a price of about $1.50 per person. The 60-year-old twins bought the plane for $100,000 in 1999 after seeing it in Israel. They then spent $50,000 for licenses and to move it to the West Bank.     🌏Article Struggling to find a book to read? You could try one of the best-selling fiction books of all time. Although no one really knows which book has sold the most copies, these three have been bought millions of times and are likely to be some of the best-selling fiction books out there. Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote is thought to be one of the first novels ever written. It was published in two parts, in 1605 and 1615, and has sold 500 million copies. But it's not just the world's best-selling fiction book. Don Quixote is also one of the most translated books of all time. Originally written in Spanish, it has been translated into about 145 languages. It tells the story of a man who decides to become a knight after reading so many stories about them. He travels across Spain looking for adventure, but many things go wrong along the way. A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities has sold 200 million copies. It was first published in 1859, both as a novel and as a series in All the Year Round, the magazine Dickens published. The story takes place in London and Paris, and it follows characters in both cities during the French Revolution in the late 1700s. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry The Little Prince, a children's book written in 1942, has sold 140 million copies. Like Don Quixote, it has been translated into many languages from French — 300 in total!     🌏Article A Nashville helicopter pilot has rescued over a dozen people from flooding after emergency services were unable to get to the area. Joel Boyers had just finished helping his fiancée get her pilot's license, and the couple were on their way home to celebrate, when he received a call asking for help. It was from a woman who said her brother was trapped with his daughters on the roof of his home in the town of Waverly, Tennessee, due to flooding. “I thought, 'How would I feel if I told her I'm not even going to try?” said Boyers. The weather was terrible, but Boyers and his fiancée, Melody Among, flew to Waverly anyway. When he got there, he said the streets had been replaced by torrents, and he knew nobody would be able to swim in the floodwaters. A few people were out in boats rescuing people, but Boyers and Among were alone in the sky. He started flying up and down the town, picking up anyone he could. He had to fly around power lines, balance on roofs and use all the skills he had learned during his 16 years as a pilot. When he left Waverly, the state police and National Guard still had not flown in because of the bad weather. But Boyers, who co-owns Helistar Aviation, said he and Among ended up rescuing 17 people.
