Inspirational as always
I have been a faithful listener since finding this podcast over a year ago. At the time I was searching for tips, tricks, advice, insight, and inspiration as I prepared for my own triathlon goal. Mike B’s format of interviewing everyday triathletes aligned perfectly with my journey. I was able to hear about other athletes’ success and struggles which both inspired and encouraged me to stay true to the path.
Because I was a newer triathlete the podcast gave crucial insights to race day and all the things you need to know. I heard information that only comes from people who have been there and done that! Hearing the advice from people that I could relate to…made it real and contextual. Hearing from pros is cool, but us Everyday Ironpeeps” can’t relate.
Looking back now- having completed 2 full distance IM, 6 70.3 IMs, 2 IM relays, and a handful of sprints and local races, I can say that this podcast helped me then and continues to help me now! I qualified as an AWA and my race times continue to improve….Mike’s podcast has played a significant role in my personal journey.
Thank you Mike!
Wow!
I just listened the first episode.. and it was what I was looking for.. I am a beginner, and I am training for my first half Ironman (I still have a long way to go). And this podcast inspired me to do a full haha. Great podcast…
Encouraging Interviews
I’m currently training for my first full Ironman in September (Chattanooga). This podcast has been a blessing to me during my workouts as I feel this sense of community with others struggling around the country to balance family, work and life with their goals of completing races. There’s been times I’ve been ready to quit but heard a story in an interview that gave me that extra push to keep going! Great work Mike.
