Holy kittens! Man, this one is nuts! The characters - outstanding! The story doesn’t have much going on but it doesn’t need to! It feels just like a good ol’ manipulative toxic relationship. Not like 2024 “ewww my boyfriend yelled at me cause I grinded on another guy at the club!!!!” toxic, it’s like, TOXIC. The guy is a master manipulator, it’s honestly disturbing how good he is at it and how far he goes with success; how she’s so ready to be done with him and finally has evidence against him and as she’s walking out the door, he reels her back in to stay. You can really see how much he gaslights her to always submit and agree with him and agree that she’s the one acting poorly and not him. It’s short, but powerful. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend giving this a listen. The first episode is subtle and you may think all these reviews are being overly dramatic, but the final two episodes, holy cute baby kitty cats…. Listen to this show. You will not regret it.

This was crazy listening too!! I could tell who he was the minute he started talking but I can hear how manipulative this person was and wanted to scream RUN!!

So realistic!

I listened to this while at work... and I couldn't stop talking about it to, well, basically anyone that would listen! This was a creepy, painful walk down memory lane. And almost as hard to describe as describing why you feel like you can't leave that terrible, terrible relationship. Amazing work. Especially for something so short. I won't forget this one!

A lot of people think of podcasts as good background noise for when they’re cleaning or exercising, or maybe to make a commute enjoyable. This is not that. It’s a demanding, emotionally challenging series that deftly examines the way a relationship slowly decays from benign to toxic. When you’ve got the time and are ready to squirm a bit, give it a listen.

This podcast physically hurt me to listen to because the cast performs so well with an amazing script. 10/10 everyone involved should win an award. Check it out it’s great.
