Plot is messy

[SPOILERS] I enjoyed a lot about this podcast. I can tell a lot of time has been put into it by the people working on it; however, I feel the need to express some things that were distracting. To start, there tend to be very small continuity errors. While I didn’t catch them at first, things like saying Trent takes online classes in episode 7, and then later in the episode, Alex tells Strand that the patience have no access to Internet kind of ruin the tone being set. For the most part, I quite enjoyed seasons 1 and 2. However, as the series goes on the story feels like it gets broader and broader as more details and storylines get added. The thing is, these details usually seem unnecessary and like a filler, added more for shock than for necessary progression of the plot. From the middle of season 2 to season 3 (others may feel differently) it feels like more characters and storylines are handed to the listener without allowing the listener anywhere to go with them. I found myself wishing things would be elaborated upon rather than hearing yet another link found across the world in a cave. At some point the listener understands that the issue is wide spread, so elaborate on the cause and less on the affect. Definitely think less story lines and more detail or time on each story line would have made this such an incredible show. It is definitely one of the best out right now, but I hope some improvements can be made if any new seasons are released.

Why are the seasons and episode numbers so crazy?

Am I missing eps 1-100? Is this how it’s supposed to be? It’s confusing. The podcast itself is alright I suppose, I came here fresh off catching up with Welcome to Night Vale so i guess my expectations were pretty high trying to find a podcast to match my love for it.
