Season 4

I started to listen to Tanis after Rabbits ( witch was absolutely amazing) and I realized that I am on season 4 but I’m not able to go back to season one... any help?

It has somethings going for it

The story is definitely interesting. However, the bombardment of ads makes it a challenge to listen to at times. There will be a sentence or two of content, then an ad, another line of content that then ends with “we’ll talk about this after the break” to lead into another ad. I’m not a fan of ads right in the middle of content. I know being able to make revenue off your work is extremely important but so is the flow of the show.

Another issue is the voice acting..it’s just not that great at times. It isn’t awful but there are multiple times during each episode where it feels awkward and choppy. What makes it even more of a pain is that it feels like the lines were written to make it seem more realistic or endearing.

Overall if you can get over an ad every 15-45 seconds and the awkwardness of the voice acting and writing at times the story is great. I love mysteries mixed with a little bit of horror.

Podcasts I’d recommend if you like this one:
The black tapes (has similar issues to this one)
Rabbits (same issues as this one)
Limetown
The White Vault
