Hey friend -  my name is Kyle Buchanan and although I talk nutrition and health for a living nowadays   - whether through talks, videos, or as a resident contributor on Canada's "The Morning Show", it was NOT that long ago that I was an anxious, drunken, closeted, self-doubty wreck. Being a grown up is tough, and messy - where we’re confident one day and anxiety-ridden the next. I don't like faking it. I DO however, like getting it all out in the open, laughing about it, and then exploring a few tools that can help us feel better if (and only if) we are in the mood. So whether it’s solo episodes or honest conversations with spectacular guests -this show is the blend of revelations, self-help, knowledge and gay magic that NO one asked for, but everyone needs. And I'm so glad you're here.

Does Intermittent Fasting Increase Your Risk of Death? *The Power of a Headline on Your Health*

Does Intermittent Fasting Increase Your Risk of Death? *The Power of a Headline on Your Health*

If this headline made you do a double take, you're not alone.

We know that the nutrition world can be incredibly confusing, and frankly, incredibly annoying.

Part of the reason I do this podcast is to vent about my frustrations about the industry, because sometimes it really is exhausting to see all of the contradictory information out there.  And it can leave us feeling like there’s not even a point in trying, which doesn’t serve us.

Recently, a headline came out stating that intermittent fasting might be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular death  . . . which is a very dramatic statement. So in today’s episode, I want us to eat a major grain of salt and really break this all down, so you feel equipped to come to your own conclusions.

    We're covering:
what I did immediately when this article was sent to mewhat was the study that made this claim?  was it a published study? why are observational studies tricky? let's play devil's advocate . . . what could be a reason for this finding? why could intermittent fasting increase the risk of cardiovascular death? why it could be more important that ever to focus on this one macronutrient the takeawaytoday's feelgood thing Want to stay in the loop about upcoming announcements and ways in which we can work together? Feelgoodery is a LIGHT!

Kyle Buchanan and this podcast are golden - so informative, helpful, raw, relatable, fun, inspiring, uplifting and truly a light in anyone’s dark week. He’s brave and bold while still remaining best friend-like. I found myself coming back and back for each episode and looking forward to the next. Would and do recommend to anyone who has ever felt less than. Feelgoodery makes you feel more than. So grateful to Kyle.

Highly informative, honest and comforting

I so look forward to the release of this podcast each Thursday. Kyle covers a wide array of topics with thoughtfulness, humor and charming candor. The nutritional information is also massively helpful and never dips into annoying “wellness culture” nonsense. He often has fascinating guests (such as the inventors of the Squatty Potty) and always asks intelligent, outside-the-box questions. As a gay man, I found the coming out episode to be particularly compelling and surprisingly healing. Overall, I cannot recommend this podcast enough! I finish each episode feeling just a little bit brighter and less alone in all the messiness of what it is to be human.

Feel Goodery just feels… good! 💁🏻‍♂️

If you’re looking for an easy listen at the gym, in the car, or maybe before bedtime: this is it. Kyle Buchanan’s approach to his podcast feels like a healthy blend of ASMR, talk-therapy, and data/science based wellness with just a smidge of “I’m-having-coffee-with-a-friend”.

The topic focus is broad but always well researched and usually personal. Charming anecdotes punctuate or preface real health and wellness information and tips to help you live a little easier.

Kyle is charming, easy to listen to, and funny and this podcast has become my go-to when I want a bit of calm amidst the chaos.
